Peralta and Semerzier met on the preliminary card of the UFC on FOX 1 event on November 12 at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California.

In the third round of their match, it appeared that Peralta had scored a technical knockout victory over Semerzier, but on replay it showed that it was an accidental headbutt was the strike that had done all the damage. Semerzier’s management had vowed to appeal the result, and was vindicated with today’s announcement.
