Fight fans are in for a real treat tomorrow night (Sat., Dec. 16, 2017) at UFC on FOX 26 from inside Bell MTS Place in Winnipeg, Canada, when former UFC lightweight champion Rafael dos Anjos looks to make it three in a row at 170 pounds when he challenges former UFC welterweight king Robbie Lawler in the main event.
In order to prepare the masses for RDA’s showdown with “Ruthless,” UFC featured the Brazilian in the most recent edition of “KO of the Week.” This time, the action focuses around dos Anjos’ matchup with George Sotiropoulos back at UFC 132 in 2011. During an exchange of punches inside, RDA was able to clip the Australian with a nasty right hand that dropped him like a pillow case full of bricks. It was just the second knockout finish of dos Anjos’ career and his first under UFC control.
It has been over six years since RDA knocked out Sotiropoulos. Since then, RDA has become one of the most dangerous offensive weapons in the promotion, captured a UFC title with a decisive victory over Anthony Pettis back in 2015, and is now on the cusp of locking down another title shot with a win over Lawler this weekend.
Let’s see if RDA can put it on “Ruthless” the way he did Sotiropoulos.
