UFC on Fuel 10 may not have been the most star-studded event, but that didn’t stop it from producing a bevy of fast-paced fights or impressive stoppages.
All told, 10 of the event’s 12 contests failed to make it to the final bell. That means two things: There was a lot exciting moments, and the competition for the fight night bonuses was stiff.

Knockout of the Night: Thiago Silva
There were plenty of finishes at UFC on Fuel 10, but only two came by way of knockout. Felipe Arantes hammered his way to victory over Godofredo Castro, using some vicious ground-and-pound to earn a stoppage victory in his Facebook prelim match.
Unfortunately for Arantes, the win, while impressive, wasn’t enough to earn him a bonus check. That honor went to Thiago Silva for his work against Rafael Cavalcante.
After a back and forth beginning to the light heavyweight contest, Silva began to come on as Round 1 drew to a close, while Cavalcante started to fade. It made for a perfect storm, and Silva landed a perfect uppercut that netted him a nice sum of extra dough.
Submission of the Night: Erick Silva
Antonio Braga Neto started the submission parade by stopping Anthony Smith in the night’s first affair, but if he thought he’d coast to a bonus, he was quickly corrected.
Seven additional submissions later, it was Erick Silva who got the nod for the slick armbar he sunk in against Jason High.
The submission was the second of Silva’s UFC career, and it only took him a grand total of 1:11 to secure.
Fight of the Night: Thiago Silva vs. Rafael Cavalcante
Being on the wrong end of a Knockout of the Night probably isn’t a great feeling, but winning Fight of the Night honors has to soften the blow a bit. So while Cavalcante’s UFC debut left a lot to be desired, at least he’ll be able to afford plenty of comfort food to get over it.
And how about Silva reeling in multiple awards? Talk about having a night. The light heavyweight vet put in less than five minutes of work, but pocketed $100,000 in bonus money.
It doesn’t get much better than that.
