MACAU, CHINA — Rich Franklin and Cung Le are set to do battle this Saturday as headliners for UFC on FUEL 6, and today, the two popular fighters stepped on the scales at the Cotai Arena. Both fighters were within the limit, making their middleweight bout official for Zuffa’s first event in China.
Franklin, the former middleweight champ, tipped the scales at 185 lbs, while his Vietnamese opponent in Le stepped in at 186. Co-headliners, Thiago Silva and Stanislav Nedkov also both made the light heavyweight limit, coming in at 205 and 203 lbs. respectively.
As reported earlier, the welterweight bout between Hyun Gyu Lim and David Mitchell has been scrapped, following a medical issue suffered by the Korean.
