Ultimate Fighting Championship president Dana White was on hand for Saturday’s (April 14, 2012) post-fight press conference for the UFC on FUEL TV 2 event in Stockholm, Sweden.

White announced $50,000 in bonus money each for fighters Siyar Bahadurzada, John Maguire, Brad Pickett and Damacio Page for their performances in the Ericsson Globe Arena.

The UFC pres also announced the gate numbers for the promotions first event in Sweden, identifying an attendance of 15,428 for a live gate of $2.23 million. According to MMAjunkie.com, who compiled the top five UFC-Europen attendance and gate totals, UFC Sweden drew the fourth-largest attendance and the fifth-largest live-gate.

Winning “Knockout of the Night” was Bahadurzada who needed just 42-seconds to finish Paulo Thiago on the main card. Bahadurzada was making his Octagon debut versus Thiago, and landed a short right to the Brazilian’s chin as he rushed in on the attack. Thiago went face first into the mat and was out for several moments, requiring assistance onto a stool.

With five submissions on the night, it was English fighter John Maguire who would walk away with the “Submission of the Night” bonus. Maguire was defending a Kimura submission attempt from opponent DaMarques Johnson when he reversed the position and sunk in an armbar submission to finish the fight at 4:40 of the second.

“Fight of the Night” was awarded to main card openers Brad Pickett and Damacio Page. The two bantamweights showcased a flurry of action until Pickett was able to end things in the second with a rear-naked choke to force the tap at 4:05 of the round. It was Pickett’s first win in the Octagon, while Page loses back-to-back fights in the UFC and now three in a row.
