The Virginia’s Department of Professional and Occupational Regulation released the salaries for this past Tuesday’s (May 15, 2012) UFC on FUEL TV 3 event, which took place at the Patriot Center in Fairfax.
The event saw twelve bouts on the card and saw the twenty-four fighters earn a total payroll of $481,000.
The top earner for the show was UFC lightweight Donald ‘Cowboy’ Cerrone who earned $60,000 ($30K to show and $30K win bonus) for his decision victory over Jeremy ‘Lil Heathen’ Stephens, who earned $24,000 for the loss.
Earning the second highest paycheck was welterweight Amir Sadollah, who made $48,000 ($24K to show and $24K win bonus) for defeating Jorge Lopez ($6,000) by decision.
Not included in the salaries totals were the “Fight Night” bonuses of $40,000. Headliner Chan Sung Jung earn an extra $80,000 for “Submission of the Night” and “Fight of the Night”, while his opponent, Dustin Poirier also made an extra $40K. “Knockout of the Night” went to Tom Lawlor who was reportedly broke before the fight, so this should go a long way to paying his bills.
