VersusLogoNews of an upcoming event surfaced on Wednesday of a third event for the Versus network for next March. Two bouts for the UFC on Versus 3 event will feature a welterweight bout between Diego Sanchez (22-4) vs. Martin Kampmann (17-4) and a middleweight tilt pitting CB Dollaway (11-2) against Mark Muñoz (9-2).

MMajunkie.com was the first to report the Sanchez vs. Kampmann bout, noting that the match will probably headline the Versus show. While the Dollaway vs. Muñoz matchup has been confirmed by several media outlets.

Sanchez bounced back from back-to-back losses with a win over Paulo Thiago in a welterweight bout at UFC 121, earning a unanimous decision. Perviously he lost a unanimous decision to John Hathaway at UFC 114 and to BJ Penn in a lightweight title bout at UFC 107. Before that he had won four straight, including two at lightweight to earn the title shot.

Kampmann is coming off a #1 contender loss to Jake Shields at UFC 121 last October. He lost a split decision at the Anaheim event and will look to build towards another title shot against Sanchez. Before the loss he had back to back victories over Paul o Thiago at UFC 115 and Jacob Volkmann at UFC 108.

For middleweight fighter Dollaway, another win could really place him high up in the division. He is currently riding a three fight win streak and is 5-1 in his last six. He earned a submission win over Joe Doerksen at UFC 119, and unanimous decisions over Goran Reljic at UFC 110 and Jay Silva at UFC Fight Night Diaz vs. Guillard.

Muñoz is 1-1 in his last two and 4-1 in his last five UFC bouts. “The Filipino Wrecking Machine” bounced back from a disappointing split decision loss to Yushin Okami last August to defeat friend Aaron Simpson at UFC 123 by unanimous decision. Before the loss he earned wins against Kendall Grove at UFC 112, Ryan Jensen at UFC 108, and Nick Catone at UFC 102 after dropping from light-heavyweight.

No official word has surfaced as to the location of this event but it is expected to take place on March 3rd.
