UFC Live 4: Profile of Matt Mitrione
Bleacher Report’s Blake Dreisbach
Ultimate Fighter Season 10 competitor Matt Mitrione is 4-0 in MMA with all of his victories being in the UFC. He has defeated Kimbo Slice, Marcus Jones, Joey Beltran and Tim Hague.
On the Ultimate Fighter: Heavyweights, he was eliminated from the show after losing to James McSweeney in the quarterfinals but did have victories over Scott Junk and Jon Madsen. He was part of Rashad Evan’s team and received the unofficial nickname “Meathead.”
At 261 pounds in weight and 6’3” tall, the former NFL football player has the size and physical ability to progress in the shallow heavyweight division.
The 32-year-old continues to show progression in his young career, and it’s easy to think he will every time he fights because of his inexperience in the sport. He is currently training out of Roufusport and fighting out of Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
His opponent at UFC Live is Christian “World Of” Morecraft (7-1), a 6’6” fighter who is coming off of a win over Sean McCorkle and is training out of Team Bombsquad.
