UFC President Dana White‘s bad week looks like it has just gotten worse.
The UFC’s head honcho apparently got a shout-out in the upcoming issue of GQ magazine—though it’s on the list of the sleaziest people in sports.
Twitter user Ryan Loco posted a screenshot of the article earlier this evening (some language NSFW).
“Turns out underpaying your UFC employees, bullying rivals, and generally impersonating Don King as a bald white guy doesn’t do wonders for your charisma!” the article says.
Shockingly, White is just one spot on the list behind War Machine, a former Bellator and UFC welterweight who is currently facing seven criminal charges (five of which are felonies) for allegedly beating his ex-girlfriend, adult film star Christy Mack, per The Boston Herald.
White is already facing public scrutiny for removing a judge—an action the UFC called a “breach of protocol” in a statement released Tuesday—from UFC Fight Night 48 for inconsistent scores. He apologized for overstepping his boundaries, per MMA Fighting.
While fighter pay has become a hot-button issue recently, White says the situation is constantly improving, per Sherdog.com’s Greg Savage.
Furthermore, while White is certainly no fan of former Bellator CEO Bjorn Rebney, he is yet to show any animosity toward Scott Coker—Rebney’s successor and the former Strikeforce CEO.
Funnily enough, back in 2010, Coker said White was the Don King—one of the most famed boxing promoters of all time—of MMA, per Bloody Elbow.
Was GQ‘s description of White an accurate one, or was the magazine simply putting out a controversial piece for the sake of shock value?
