The main event lived up to the hype last night (Sat., Sept. 14, 2019) at UFC Fight Night 158 live on ESPN+ from inside Rogers Arena in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, as streaking lightweight contender Justin Gaethje put a stop to resurgent veteran Donald Cerrone via first-round TKO (HIGHLIGHTS HERE).
In addition to Gaethje’s third consecutive first-round knockout finish, light heavyweight contender Misha Cirkunov captured a first-round submission finish when he landed a rare Peruvian necktie on previously undefeated prospect Jimmy Crute, rising heavyweight finisher Augusto Sakai made quick work of Polish veteran Marcin Tybura with a 59-second knockout, Louis Smolka nabbed an impressive first-round TKO finish over bantamweight Ryan MacDonald, and Canadian underdog Tristan Connelly pulled off an unbelievable upset over promising welterweight Michel Pereira.
