Vitor Belfort is a fiercely passionate mixed martial artist.
Love him or hate him, Belfort always comes to fight, and his career is defined by a series of ups and downs that would have long defeated a lesser man.
In a recent video entitled “Warrior Code: Vitor Belfort,” “The Phenom” sounds off on his faith, his career, trash talking and what the UFC title means to him.
Personally, I think that Belfort is a good representative of the sport, and he clearly respects and honors his place on the UFC roster.
In an age when fighters seldom take the high road and instead err on the side of ridiculousness to forge their spots in the business, Belfort remains grounded and respectful.
I can dig that.
Currently, a fight against Michael Bisping looms for Belfort at UFC on FX 7 on Jan. 19, and “The Count” is certainly no stranger to the land of disrespect.
This matchup provides a tale of two personalities, and I, for one, cannot wait to see the action unfold inside the Octagon.
The coveted chance at Anderson Silva‘s middleweight title awaits at the end of a victory for Bisping, while Belfort looks to play the role of the spoiler and prove that he is still one of the best 185-pound fighters on the planet.
Which will it be?
