Heading into tonight’s UFC 200 event, MMA legend and former UFC 185 pound champion Anderson Silva opened as a massive betting underdog to current 205-pound champion Daniel Cormier, so massive that Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone saw it as an opportunity.
“Cowboy” recently spoke with the folks at Submission Radio and explained why Silva being a 4-to-1 underdog to Cormier inspired him to place a bet on the fight.
“I still think he is one of the best fighters of all time,” Cerrone said of Silva. “There’s always a f-cking chance (of an upset). This is it, man. This is the sport. This is fun. So, yeah, I’m going with Anderson. I’m putting $1000 on it.”
Silva and Cormier was a late addition to the UFC 200 lineup, as Cormier’s original opponent, Jon “Bones” Jones was pulled after being flagged by USADA for a Anti-Doping violation.
