Video: Floyd Mayweather on Conor McGregor bout: ‘It may not be a rumor’

Floyd Mayweather played coy when addressing rumors about UFC champ Conor McGregor.

There’s been on-going rumors about a boxing match between Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather. Apart from Floyd Sr.’s comments about it, both parties have remained relatively quiet about it. That all changed today, as the UFC champ decided to tweet a poster of the bout, while Mayweather himself spoke publicly about the potential bout.

Floyd played coy when asked the rumored bout against the UFC star.

“It’s possible. It was a name that was shot at me,” Mayweather said. “The rumors that y’all been hearing is the rumors that I started. It may not be a rumor. Keep y’all fingers crossed, it may be a boxer versus an MMA fighter.”

“My number of course is 100 million or better. I feel that I can demand that, because I’ve broken all the records in the sport of boxing.”

While the bout is still highly unlikely to ever be finalized, oddsmakers for some reason give the UFC fighter a better chance at beating Floyd than former boxing champ Andre Berto.
