Video: Watch Matt Hamill knockout Luiz Cane at Fight2Night 2 for first victory since 2012

Former UFC fighter Matt Hamill was spotted inside of the cage last night (Fri., April 28, 2017) when he took on Luiz Cane at Fight2Night 2 from Parana, Brazil. In his first victory since 2012, Hamill caught Cane with a nasty left hook followed by a barrage of uppercuts that put the Brazilian away just 38 seconds into the main event.

The throwback finish from Hamill can be seen below.

Hamill, 40, had gone 0-4 since defeating Roger Hollett back at UFC 152. His knockout of Cane is his first finish since headkicking Mark Munoz into oblivion back in 2009. Hamill had dropped his three previous fights all by first-round finish so it’s nice to see him rebound so late into his career.

Cane, 36, had produced a 5-1 record outside of UFC after leaving the promotion back in 2012. It was his first knockout loss since getting finished by Stanislav Nedkov back at UFC 134.
