Jon Jones heaps praise on the striking of Andrew Tate he looks solid UFC

Reigning UFC heavyweight champion Jon Jones give his opinion on controversial influencer Andrew Tate.

Since his rise to notoriety, Tate has been linked to the combat sports world after discussing his career as a professional kickboxer. Being a ‘former world champion’ in kickboxing has been made a massive part of his persona and he regularly posted footage of him training and sparring.

Tate’s kickboxing record supposedly stands at 73-9, but many of these are not documented online. Tate did win ISKA and Enfusion title, but never took the next step to fight in elite promotions such as Glory and K1.

With his manosphere content and the ‘masculine’ message that Tate has branded himself on, he has also gained a lot of fighters as fans. Tate has been pictured with serval notable UFC names such as Aljamain Sterling and Leon Edwards, with many others discussing the controversial figure online.

Jon Jones gives his opinion on Andrew Tate

In a recent interview, Jones was asked his opinion on Tate and gave a rather interesting answer, claiming he was proud of the 37-year-old.

“I’ve seen some of his training videos, I haven’t seen much of his actual work but he looks solid,” Jon Jones said. “He looks solid, I’m just proud of the person that he’s trying to be for human beings. He’s always trying to share some knowledge, he doesn’t always hit the mark but he’s trying to help men, and women, think outside the box, expand our knowledge and I’m grateful for that.”

Jones is expected to make a return later on this year and make his first defence of his heavyweight title against Stipe Miocic. The fight was originally booked for last year, but had to be postponed after Jones suffered an I jury.

Controversial influencer Andrew Tate accuses former UFC champ Sean Strickland of stealing his gimmick

Andrew Tate and Sean Strickland

They say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.

Andrew Tate, a former kickboxing world champion, rose to prominence in 2022 thanks to his controversial and often misogynistic views on multiple social media platforms. Today, Tate is largely out of the limelight while he awaits trial on a slew of serious charges, including rape and human trafficking. But that hasn’t stopped the British-American from offering his unique take on a variety of topics.

Recently, Tate accused former middleweight titleholder Sean Strickland of copying everything he “teaches” despite getting nothing but hate in return from the UFC star.

“So he says ‘hates me’ on a podcast but then copies everything I teach. I’m not mad. Glad there’s more people who understand – We must free minds,” Tate wrote in response to a clip of Strickland on X.

Following his impressive performance against Israel Adesanya last year, Strickland slammed Andrew Tate during a podcast appearance, referencing an incident where Tate was allegedly pretending to be a webcam model and stealing money from other men.

“To see the way he talked with no remorse, it wasn’t, ‘You know what, man? I did something so morally wrong,” Strickland said on the Full Send Podcast. “I took advantage of men, I took money from men,’ it was like, ‘No, f*** them. I’m a con artist, I’m a piece of s***.’

“So, Andrew Tate, you guys, if you want to look up to a guy, look up to a guy like Jordan Peterson. He understands masculinity, honesty, how to be a f****** man, but I’m telling you, Andrew Tate, he’s not your messiah. He would turn you out for a dollar. He’s a f****** pimp, he’s a w****.”

Following his somewhat controversial split decision loss to Dricus Du Plessis at UFC 297, Sean Strickland suggested that he may make a run for public office once his mixed martial arts career is in the books.

Kamaru Usman Believes Logan and Jake Paul would handle Tristan and Andrew Tate in hypothetical MMA fight

Kamaru Usman believes Logan and Jake Paul would have a decided advantage in a potential MMA showdown with Tristan and Andrew Tate.

While the Paul brothers are best known for their work in the boxing ring, their background in wrestling would likely give them a leg up should the pair ever find themselves in a hypothetical clash with the Tate brothers who have primarily competed in kickboxing.

“If it’s an MMA fight, I think that favors Jake and Logan [Paul] for sure…I mean, they actually wrestled…That’s [kickboxing] actually a disadvantage when it comes to wrestlers,” Usman said during an appearance on the PBD Podcast. “If I catch a kick and you fall down, like, it’s different and it’s a different balance…The civilian human doesn’t realize that it’s an actual skill to be able to get off of your back”

Logan and Jake Paul Continue to Thrive while the Tate Brothers Await Trial in Romania

While it’s fun to theorize about, any variation that would pit a Paul brother against a Tate brother is highly unlikely to happen. Particularly while Tristan and Andrew Tate are currently awaiting trial in Romania on charges of rape, human trafficking, and forming an organized crime group to sexually exploit women. They have vehemently denied all charges.

The Tate brothers were detained in December 2022 and remained in custody until March 2023 when they were placed under house arrest. In June, Andrew Tate and his brother were formally charged.

According to a report from the BBC, the indictment deposited with the Bucharest court says that the Tate brothers along with two other defendants formed an organized criminal group in 2021 to commit human trafficking in Romania, but also in other countries including the U.S. and the UK.

Andrew Tate and his brother are throwing their support behind Conor McGregor after the Irishman expressed an interest in running for president of his home country.

Widespread riots and protests have plagued The Emerald Isle after an Algerian immigrant allegedly stabbed a woman and three children outside of Gaelscoil Choláiste Mhuire, an Irish language primary school in Dublin’s north inner city. The incident sparked outrage over the country’s lax immigration laws with citizens and celebrities calling for a much-needed change.

Expressing his frustration over the discourse in his homeland, Conor McGregor threw his name into the hat of potential presidential candidates and immediately received an outpouring of support.

Speaking on their Rumble show TateSpeech, controversial kickboxing star Andrew Tate and his brother, Tristan Tate, said that they would fully support McGregor’s bid for Ireland’s top office.

“I think that’s a wonderful idea,” Tristan Tate said. “I don’t know Conor, but Conor is a warrior. He knows violence very well. I would believe that Conor McGregor would be far more reluctant to send random Irish people to die in places like Iraq. I also believe that Conor McGregor, who’s a family man and a fighter, would be a lot more protective in a masculine way about his own people.”

He added, “We are 25% Irish and if Conor McGregor runs in any Irish election I will fly to Ireland and vote for him” (h/t FirstSportz).

Andrew Tate Concurs with his brother

Andrew Tate echoed his brothers’ sentiment, while also revealing the origin of their own Irish heritage.

“Our grandfather was born in Limerick that’s why we will personally vote for Conor McGregor,” Andrew Tate added.

Tesla Motors CEO Elon Musk has also expressed his support for Conor McGregor’s political aspirations, saying: “I think you could take them all single-handed. Not even fair.”

Andrew Tate and his brother, Tristan Tate, have been released from house arrest whilst awaiting trial for a plethora of criminal charges, including human trafficking and rape.

Tate, a divisive internet influencer best known for his misogynistic views and hate speech, was released from house arrest following a successful appeal on Friday according to the British-American’s spokesperson. Tate will not be permitted to leave the country and he is not permitted to be “in close proximity with any of the other defendants, any of the witnesses or any of the alleged victims and their immediate family.”

The decision to release Andrew Tate and his brother comes seven months after their initial arrest in December 2022. The pair, along with two other women, were arrested and accused of forming a criminal gang to sexually exploit women. In March 2023, the brothers were moved to house arrest where they remained until Friday.

“In January when I was thrown in a jail cell, the media reported and told the world I was a terrible person, they said that I hurt people and that I make a lot of money from criminal enterprises,” Tate told members of the media outside his home in Bucharest. “And here we stand seven or eights month later and I’ve not seen a single victim on the news.”

In June, Andrew Tate was formally indicted on the charges. Romania’s anti-organized crime agency, DIICOT, attempted to keep Tate and his brother under house arrest as a result of the indictment, but that will not be the case thanks to the Bucharest Court of Appeal.

“I’ve seen lots of people sticking up for me, lots of people defending me and I’ve not seen a single person stand up and say that I have hurt them,” Tate added.

According to DIICOT, seven female victims were allegedly lured by Andrew Tate and his cohorts with false pretenses of love and transported to Romania, where the gang sexually exploited and subjected them to physical violence. Several women in Britain have also come forward and are pursuing civil claims to obtain damages from Tate, alleging they were victims of sexual violence.

“We’ve been completely innocent since the beginning of this,” Tate said.

Ex-UFC heavyweight Brendan Schaub believes ‘Cowboy’ Cerrone would easily handle Andrew Tate in a potential fight between the two combat sports stars.

Tate and ‘Cowboy’ have been at odds with one another ever since Tate was made aware of some alleged comments Cerrone had made about him behind closed doors. Tate welcomed the UFC Hall of Famer to come to his home and find out how real he is in a fight. Needless to say, those comments did not sit well with ‘Cowboy’ who quickly snapped back in an expletive-filled rant, calling Tate’s kickboxing accomplishments into question.

Appearing on The Fighter and the Kid podcast with Bryan Callen, Brendan Schaub spoke about the beef between Andrew Tate and ‘Cowboy’ Cerrone, suggesting that as good as Tate may be, he doesn’t want any part of Cerrone.

“Listen, I like Andrew Tate. [I know] people are making fun of him for his boxing record, or something like that,” Schaub said.
I mean, Cerrone would f*ck him up, don’t get it twisted. Cerrone would f*ck Andrew Tate up. And I think Cerrone is just going after him because he’s so famous Like, they wouldn’t be going after him if he wasn’t this big name. But I know Joe Schilling was trying to fight him for years and it just never happened.

“[Tate] don’t want any part of Joe Schilling. You don’t want ‘Cowboy’ and Schilling. You don’t want them problems, but if I’m Andrew Tate, who gives a f*ck?”

Brendan Schaub Calls the Romanian Government Crooked, Supports Andrew Tate in Human Trafficking Investigation

Currently, Andrew Tate is under house arrest in Romania after being taken into custody alongside his brother, Tristan Tate, and two other individuals in December. The four are accused of running a criminal enterprise and committing a variety of crimes, including rape and human trafficking.

Tate has maintained his innocence since the charges were brought and many within the combat sports community are backing Tate. That includes Brendan Schaub who believes this is nothing more than a case of a corrupt government going after one of its most prominent figures.

“The Romanian government is crooked as f*ck and he would be let out anywhere else in the world,” Schaub said. “If he’s in America, he’s fine. Romania, I don’t know how it works out there. He needs to get the f*ck out of there. If they do let him out, he’ll be fine.”

As Bryan Callen mentions during the podcast, Andrew Tate has much bigger issues to worry about than what ‘Cowboy’ is saying about him. But even if Tate is acquitted of all charges and walks free, don’t expect to see him step up and accept a fight anytime soon given his immense success on social media.
