Varner was up for the “Fight of the Year” award for his UFC on FOX 4 bout with Joe Lauzon. Varner talks about his journey back to the UFC and his hopes of earning a shot at the 155-lbs strap by the end of 2013.

Former UFC title challenger Urijah Faber presented the award for “Ring Card Girl of the Year” at the 2012 World MMA Award show in Las Vegas Friday night, but before that he spent some time to talk with the media. Faber expects a “barn burner” in his rematch with Ivan Menjivar next month at UFC 157 when the two fighters step into the Octagon in Anaheim. Faber offers some thoughts on presenting the award and his new coach Duane ‘Bang’ Ludwig.
