A new main event has been tabbed for the upcoming Bellator 167 event, as Derek Campos and Patricky “Pitbull” Freire square off for a second time.

Originally, the December 3 card from Thackerville, Oklahoma was to feature John Teixeira and former champion Pat Curran. An injury to Curran, though, scrapped those plans. Teixeira will remain on the docket, facing Justin Lawrence.

Campos (17-6) and Freire (16-8) own a combined 15 wins inside the Bellator cage. That includes a 2014 TKO win by Freire over Campos.

The Brazilian recently fell to division champion Michael Chandler in his quest to bring gold to the Freire home. He is 3-3 over his last six, while Campos is 3-2 with a knockout of Melvin Guillard on his resume.
