Mike Perry calls out Anthony Pettis after BKFC 56 title win that's an amazing fight

Mike Perry notched another victory in the win column at BKFC 56 over the UFC former lightweight champion Eddie Alvarez. Looking to continue his momentum of big wins over big names, Perry is now fully setting his sights on a battle with another former UFC champion: Anthony Pettis.

The fight with Alvarez was intense, and it was another brutal showing of how extreme bare-knuckle boxing is. The fight wasn’t one-sided from the jump, but eventually, it turned into a beatdown. Alvarez wore the damage a lot worse than Perry did, and it prompted his corner to stop the fight in the second round.

During his post-fight interview inside the ring, Mike Perry made his desire for the fight with Pettis clear. After that, he also further discussed the idea at the post-fight press conference.

During the post-fight press conference, Perry opened up about how he was feeling. He talked about the callout, but would also give the media and fans a glimpse into his thought process regarding the caliber of fighters he’s looking to compete against.

“One name that did come to mind that I did mention before I fought Alvarez was Anthony Pettis,” Perry told the media (H/T MMA JUNKIE). “I think that’s an amazing fight.”

“He just beat Roy Jones Jr. in a boxing match,” Mike Perry continued. “I think he’s intrigued by the bare-knuckle aspect. I had fun with Eddie, but it happened exactly how I said it was going to happen. I posted that Kimbo Slice picture of that backyard fight, and what did he say? ‘You have to hit me. Come on.’ Once he hit me, then I started moving, and he stopped hitting me and by the end of the second, what happened? He got busted up worse than I did.”

Mike Perry would later go on and explain why he’s yet to face an actual competitor from BKFC such as Luis Palomino, BKFC’s lightweight champion. But, Perry refuses to take such a callout seriously, when his main goal is selling fights.

“I think that whoever the company wants to match me against needs to have a certain number of followers, of hits on social media, on the internet, that are going to get people to tune in,” Perry said firmly. “It can’t just be one-sided. It can’t just be me selling the hell out of the fight. It can’t be that way. It has to be a two-sided affair.”

‘Platinum’ Mike Perry has a message for all the soft men out there.

The newly crowned ‘King of Violence’ celebrated his latest BKFC win by condoning sexual assault and telling women to get back into the kitchen and make him a sandwich.

“Men gotta stand up, bro,” Perry said in a video clip following his BKFC 56 win on Saturday night. “We have to man up. We gotta stop being liberals. We gotta start grabbing women by the p*ssy again. Point blank period, get in the kitchen and make me a sandwich, bro.

“I got work to do. I’m here to feed the family, okay? I feed us. I feed our pockets and you feed our mouths and then we feed each other and I feed off of you and that watery little playground you got down there.”

It’s certainly not the first time Mike Perry has spit some controversial, or in this case, downright vile words. After all, this is the same guy who justified his use of the N-word because a DNA test supposedly informed him that was 2% African.

In 2020, Perry was also caught on video yelling at a man in a Lubbock, Texas restaurant before punching the elder individual, knocking him unconscious. Perry could also be heard shouting a racial slur in the process.

However, Perry’s rise to stardom under the Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship banner has many fight fans embracing his rogue anti-hero approach, similar to that of reigning UFC middleweight champion Sean Strickland.

Returning to the squared circle in the Crossroads of the West, Salt Lake City, Mike Perry kept his undefeated bare-knuckle record intact with a second-round TKO over former Bellator and UFC lightweight champion Eddie Alvarez in the BKFC 56 headliner. The victory crowned ‘Platinum’ as the first-ever BKFC ‘King of Violence’ champion.

Alvarez moved to 1-1 in BKFC after scoring a split decision over Chad Mendes in his promotional debut earlier this year.

Once again stepping into the main event spotlight, Perry toed the line with former Bellator and UFC lightweight world titleholder Eddie Alvarez to determine the promotion’s first-ever ‘King of Violence’ champion. Through two rounds of action, Perry and Alvarez battered one another with ‘The Underground King’ gaining the upper hand in the early going.

However, it wouldn’t take long for Perry to turn the tables on his opponent, smashing Alvarez in the second stanza. Unfortunately, that’s where things would end as Alvarez was unable to continue after his eye had swelled shut.

Alvarez’s corner threw in the towel just before the beginning of the third round, declaring ‘Platinum’ the first-ever BKFC ‘King of Violence’ champ. With the win, Perry moved to 4-0 under the Bare Knuckle FC banner.

BKFC brawler ‘Rowdy’ Bec Rawlings is more than happy to take credit for the explosion of combat sports athletes finding financial success on OnlyFans.

Rawlings has made a career for herself competing in multiple major combat sports organizations, including Invicta FC, the UFC, and most recently, Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship. However, she found herself in a bit of a bind during the COVID-19 pandemic when the world shut down, leaving her stuck in Australia with few options for a reliable income. Determined to stay afloat, Rawlings decided to test out her earning potential on the popular subscription-based site.

Three short years later, OnlyFans has become synonymous with the combat sports community. Fighters such as Paige VanZant, Felice Herrig, Pearl Gonzalez, Ailin Perez, and Jessica Penne have found a great deal of success baring their assets for thirsty fans willing to pay a monthly fee.

But it’s no longer limited to the photogenic female fighters in the sport. Heavyweight GOAT Stipe Miocic and the Professional Fighters League have launched their own OnlyFans accounts, giving fans exclusive access to training videos and insight into the fight game.

“It’s f*cking cool,” Rawlings told MMA Fighting. “Like when I saw Floyd Mayweather walk out with a hat with an OnlyFans logo on it, I was like, this is f*cking cool. It’s even hit boxing! I’ve never really looked at it that way, I don’t like to blow smoke up my own ass, but I definitely was a trailblazer now that you mention it.”

Despite the booming success, there remains a stigma surrounding athletes who embrace the seedier side of OnlyFans, but none that was a concern for Rawlings.

“Myself and Jessica Penne were just talking earlier, we were the f*cking OG’s of that sh*t,” Rawlings said. “We were the first fighters to take that f*cking leap and sign up and promote it, and everyone was like, ‘Are they doing porn?’ Or, ‘that’s risky,’ this or that. We’re like no, it doesn’t have to be porn. It can be f*cking mainstream sh*t, too, it’s just exclusive content. Now, every fighter and their f*cking dog are on OnlyFans.”

Bec Rawlings is Ready to Toe The Line at BKFC 56

On December 2, Bec Rawlings will make her long-awaited return to the squared circle at BKFC 56 for a flyweight title fight with reigning champion Christine Ferea. By the time she toes the line in Salt Lake City, it will have been seven months since her last appearance with the promotion. In the meantime, ‘Rowdy’ has continued to live a life of financial security thanks to OnlyFans.

“It’s definitely helped me pay the bills and stay on top, especially when I only fight twice a year this year,” Rawlings said. “So yeah, it’s been great, and it’s nice to be able to connect with fans on another level, and not so much on Instagram, and be able to put out exclusive content and talk to people. A bit more personable.

“I’ve always kind of been fighter Bec I guess on Instagram and Facebook, and on OnlyFans, you see a different side of me. I’m still enjoying it. I’m still on there live and popping on there.”

Rawlings’ fight with Ferea will be a rematch of their BKFC 41 clash in April. After two highly entertaining rounds of back-and-forth action, the bout was stopped by the ringside doctors after ‘Rowdy’ sustained a significant cut on her eyebrow.

It was an undeniably frustrating finish for Rawlings who found a fair amount of success against Ferea, a fighter known for steamrolling her competition over the last five years.

“I think it’s easy to look dominant and look like a bully when the caliber of fighters you’re fighting aren’t that great,” Rawlings said about Ferea. “I’ve traveled the world and fought the best around the world for a long time. That doesn’t work on me. You’re not going to intimidate me. You’re not going to bully me.

“I definitely think that my style versus her style is a good matchup, and it proved to be a good matchup in the first fight. I just think I’m technically better, and if all she has is toughness and aggression, I have that, too. So you’ve got to bring something else to the table. I think I’m just going to outwork her. I’m going to out skill her. I’m more technical. I’m more of a sharpshooter, and I’m obviously not going to let her bully me like I didn’t the last time either. It’s going to make a good fight.”

‘Platinum’ Mike Perry and Eddie Alvarez traded body blows during their face-off at a BKFC 56 press event on Thursday.

On December 2, Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship will present its next mega-sized card. Emanating from the Maverik Center in Salt Lake City, bare-knuckle fans will be treated to a can’t-miss headliner as BKFC sensation Mike Perry returns to the squared circle for a clash with former UFC lightweight champion Eddie Alvarez.

Before the two heavy hitters knuckle up next month, Perry and Alvarez went face-to-face for the first time, and needless to say, things got a little chippy between the two.

Mike Perry goes into the contest carrying a 4-0 record under the BKFC banner. That includes victories over Bellator’s Michael ‘Venom’ Page and former UFC middleweight titleholder Luke Rockhold.

Alvarez will be making his second appearance for the promotion after securing a split decision over Chad Mendes at BKFC 41 in April.

Whoever leaves The Crossroads of the West with their hand raised, will also leave as the first-ever BKFC ‘King of Violence’ champion.

“I’m happy about it, and I’m happy to be able to do something a little different up here,” BKFC president Dave Feldman said during the press event. “This is a violent sport. We’ve run to it. We say what it is: It’s a brutal sport. It’s not more dangerous than anything else out there, but you have to be a different kind of person to fight bare-knuckle fighting, and these guys are. They’re different, and that’s why they’re fighting for the ‘King of Violence’ championship.”

Feldman added that BKFC’s ‘King of Violence’ title “is probably gonna be a one-and-done thing for us,” but for now, he’s more than happy for the opportunity to pair two masters of violence together in a brawl that is guaranteed to bring the fireworks and plenty of bloodshed.

“We have two violent guys – a Philly guy and a Florida guy – that are gonna collide in the squared circle on Dec. 2 here in Salt Lake City,” Feldman said. “It’s gonna be an epic, epic night.”
