Conor McGregor Artem Lobov

Conor McGregor was fuming Saturday night after losing big on some bets he placed on UFC 308. He even posted to X (formerly known as Twitter) and called his ex-teammate Artem Lobov a retard!

Sports betting has always been a very fickle endeavor, and MMA betting is even more unpredictable due to the sport’s wild nature. McGregor has been developing his “Drake” persona and throwing down big stacks on bad bets, and as expected, it’s not going very well.

In his latest exploit, he threw down a crackhead’s dream of a parlay and bet that Robert Whittaker and Max Holloway would win via knockout. It did not hit…

Conor McGregor loses $500k on a wild parlay, calls his ex-Teammate a retard

In a now-deleted tweet, McGregor flashed the ticket for his bet on X and marveled that $500k could be turned into over $17 million!

Of course, the odds of this bet are in the territory where the bet itself is considered a “lotto”. This means it’s so unlikely that the bet hits (according to the odds) that you might as well spend $500k on lottery tickets instead. The bet flopped big time, and not even a single leg of the parlay hit.

Conor McGregor was enraged, and for some reason, this led to him hopping back on X and spewing hatred at his old ex-teammate, labeling the man a retard.

The hatred towards Lobov possibly stems from a lawsuit that the Russian launched against McGregor some time ago. Still, it is unclear why losing the bet made Conor McGregor lash out at his former training partner. Maybe the two made amends, and Lobov suggested the bet to McGregor? Or, McGregor might have just been in a foul mood after losing $500k, and in an alcohol and drug-induced rage, could’ve been lashing out at anyone and anybody that came to mind.

What do you think about that wild parlay McGregor threw away $500k on?

Conor McGregor Warns Regis Prograis on Brutal BKFC Transition After Jack Catterall Loss: “It is bare knuckle fighting”

Conor McGregor, Regis Prograis

Conor McGregor wonders if boxing star Regis Prograis is biting off more than he can chew with his desire to enter the bare-knuckle world.

Prograis lost to Jack Catterall by unanimous decision for the vacant WBO international light welterweight title this weekend in Manchester. After losing back-to-back boxing fights, Prograis hinted at retiring from professional boxing to pursue other ventures.

After the loss, Prograis hinted at a move to bare-knuckle boxing, as he did in the lead-up to the Catterall fight. McGregor, one of the part owners of Bare Knuckle FC, didn’t take long to weigh in on Prograis’s remarks.

Conor McGregor ‘Welcomes’ Regis Prograis to fight bare-knuckle

In a since-deleted tweet, McGregor responded to Prograis’s post-fight declaration.

”2 time boxing world champion [Regis Prograis] looking to take off the gloves for [BKFC’s] 5 fast paced, 2 minute rounds. Yes the surface damage is a lot more gruesome but with intimate skills in the boxing realm could he successfully make the switch? We already have one two-time boxing world champion who has, and he is now World Champion Bare Knuckle Welterweight champion! We would welcome! It’s not bare knuckle boxing however, make sure and take note of this…

“It is bare knuckle fighting,” McGregor continued. There is no red and blue corner, you start centered in the ring behind a line directly in front of your opponent, and elements of clinch fighting are allowed. You can cup the back of opponents head and throw with the free hand fully legal. An amazing game! Most entertaining bang for buck show on the market today and it is not even close. A lot of the straight bare knuckle fighters feel disgruntled at thinking others can come into their sole sport and seek to take from their work. They fight ferociously to defend. It’s exciting times all round at [BKFC].” (h/t SportsKeeda)

McGregor is targeting an MMA return in 2025 after a lengthy absence from the Octagon. He hasn’t fought since a doctor’s stoppage loss to Dustin Poirier at UFC 264.

McGregor was supposed to headline UFC 303 earlier this year before withdrawing due to a toe injury. In addition to his MMA ambitions, McGregor teased an eventual appearance in the BKFC ring.

Prograis would be another welcomed star to the BKFC world, although he’ll need to brush up on clinch work before making the move. Regardless, it seems McGregor is on board to giving Prograis a shot.

In the early morning hours of October 12, the BKFC star was pulled over by police officers in Claremont, Florida after he was clocked driving 20mph over the posted speed limit. Perry reportedly asked the officer to speak slower so that he could understand him. He also allegedly used homophobic slurs while engaging with the officer.

After refusing to take a sobriety test, Perry was arrested and booked into Lake County Jail sometime after 4 a.m. He was in custody for roughly five hours before being released on a $1,500 bond.

Footage of Perry being pulled over and arrested has since been released and is available to watch below via TMZ Sports:

Perry is scheduled to appear before a judge on October 30th in Clermont.

Mike Perry has emerged as the BKFC’s Top Star in Recent Years

Mike Perry got himself into trouble when he was arrested in Clermont, Florida, on October 12 for multiple offenses.

According to a recent report by MMA Fighting, information from the Lake County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that “Platinum” was apprehended and processed by Clermont Police officers early Saturday morning at 1:04 AM EST. He is currently facing charges of driving under the influence (DUI) and refusing to sign a citation that mandates a court appearance, both classified as second-degree misdemeanors in the county.

As per the report, Perry declined to undergo a roadside sobriety test after being stopped for exceeding the speed limit by about 20 miles per hour. The officer reportedly detected a strong odor of alcohol coming from the vehicle, but the BKFC star repeatedly denied any consumption.

The 33-year-old Michigan native stood firm in his decision despite being warned multiple times that his refusal to comply would result in his arrest, which eventually led to him being handcuffed and taken to the Clermont Police Department for a breath test.

However, “Platinum” was subsequently released on a $1,500 bond later that day and was assigned to appear before the Florida court on October 30. If proven guilty, Perry could potentially face a maximum of two months in jail and fines reaching up to $500.

The former UFC welterweight fighter is rebounding from a sixth-round knockout defeat to Jake Paul this past July. Aside from that setback, Perry is thriving in his bare-knuckle fighting career under the BKFC banner. He is currently riding a five-fight unbeaten streak and boasts victories over notable former UFC champions Eddie Alvarez and Luke Rockhold.

MMA media personalities Oscar Willis and Ben Davis showcased their fighting spirits in an undercard bout at Bare Knuckle FC: Spain.

Willis and Davis took a break from their day jobs to fight bare-knuckle at BKFC: Spain on Saturday in Marbella. Despite their lack of hands-on combat sports experience, Willis and Davis fought on a live DAZN broadcast watched by BKFC fans around the world.

Their fight didn’t disappoint, but it was largely one-way traffic for Willis. He dropped Davis four times in the first round of the fight before the referee eventually waved it off.

Watch some of the highlights of Willis’s win below.

Willis and Davis were both making their bare-knuckle debuts. Willis made his amateur MMA debut in Nov. 2022 and hadn’t competed in combat sports since.

Davis, one of the fastest-rising stars in MMA media, made his BKFC debut after a win over Zuriel Rudi Ayo in the Karate Combat pit in June. Before that, he lost an exhibition boxing match to Gabriel Silva on a 2023 Misfits Boxing card.

BKFC: Spain featured lots of high-octane action for the promotion’s first Spanish event. The card was headlined by a vacant lightweight title matchup between Franco Tenaglia and Tony Soto.

In addition to Willis and Davis’s showcase, Conor McGregor made some news while promoting BKFC: Spain. He claimed his UFC return is set for February against Dan Hooker in Saudi Arabia.
