Darren Till responds to Mike Perry's fiery Post-Fight callout: 'I am going to destroy this man'

Darren Till is tired of hearing Mike Perry run his mouth.

On Saturday night (April 27), ‘Platinum’ earned his fifth-straight victory under the BKFC banner, scoring a smashing 60-second TKO over former UFC standout Thiago Alves in the KnuckleMania IV main event.

Immediately following the bout, Perry delivered a fiery post-fight promo targeting longtime rival Darren Till.

“Darren Till you fat f*cking b*tch, get your ass over here,” Perry said immediately following his latest win.

Perry’s comments extended into the post-fight press conference, telling Till that he needs to stop chasing gold in MMA and come get a piece of ‘Platinum’ inside the squared circle.

“I think that fight is something a lot of people have wanted for a long time, including me and him, you know, he’s talking big sh*t,” Perry said. “He’s talking his sh*t, but he ain’t doing nothing. I’m talking sh*t and I’m out here doing it. So, get your ass – he say he’s in the gym or whatever and he’s working and he with, you know,  Khamzat (Chimaev) is undefeated. But he’s over there in the MMA world chasing that gold.

“I’m better than gold. I am the gold over here, I’m above it. I’m ‘Platinum.’”

It didn’t take long for Till to respond to the callout, promising to “destroy” Perry once the two men finally meet.

“FKN bum. I am going to destroy this man when we finally meet,” Till wrote on his Instagram Stories. “He’s been fighting old slow sh*tty dopes.”

Mike Perry Smashes the competition while Darren till continues to sit on the sidelines

Mike Perry and Darren Till have been on a collision course dating back to their days of competing inside the Octagon.

Mike Perry and Darren Till

Recently, ‘Platinum’ claimed that BKFC president David Feldman offered Till $2 million to knuckle up with Perry, but turned down the deal in hopes of securing a traditional boxing match with Perry before taking off the gloves and toeing the line.

Thus far, Perry has run through a who’s who of top-tier talent since signing with Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship in 2021. Kickstarting his run with a win over Julian ‘Let Me Bang Bro’ Lane, he promptly upped the ante against a slew of MMA stars including Michael ‘Venom’ Page and former UFC champions Luke Rockhold and Eddie Alvarez.

He walked away with a majority decision win over MVP before TKO’ing his last three opponents, including his destructive performance against former BKFC middleweight champion Thiago Alves at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles.

Meanwhile, Till has been sitting on the sidelines since December 2022 after exiting the UFC on a 1-5 losing skid.

When it comes to Perry’s next opponent in BKFC, Darren Till undoubtedly makes the most sense, but it seems as though the UK-based star isn’t interested in trading in his gloves for a pair of hand wraps. At least, not yet.

BKFC hosted their fourth annual ‘KnuckleMania’ event, last night this time in the Peacock theatre in Los Angeles. While the undercard had brawling talent such as Jeremiah Riggs and David Diaz, it was the three top bouts that held the most appeal the wider combat sports audience.

The first of which was between two UFC heavyweight vets, Todd Duffee and Ben Rothwell. The fight would only last one round with Rothwell dropping Duffee multiple times before the referee waved off the fight.

The co-main event came between Lorenzo Hunt and current BKFC heavyweight champion Mick Terrell. Hunt was aiming to win a BKFC title in a third division after winning both the light-heavyweight and cruiserweight belts.

After some early exchanges, Newcastle’s Terrell sent Hunt crashing to the floor after a well-placed uppercut. As Hunt attempted to break his fall, he would suffer a gruesome arm injury that forced the fight to be stopped and Terrell remains champion

Michael Chandler praises Conor McGregor on BKFC deal With that being said I KO him in 10 minutes

Set to make his anticipated return to the Octagon this summer at UFC 303 in a grudge fight with Conor McGregor, and whilst heaping praise on the Dubliner for striking an ownership deal with the BKFC (Bare Knuckle Fighting Championsihp) – claims he will knock out the veteran in their June clash.

Chandler, a former undisputed Bellator MMA lightweight champion thrice, competed for UFC lightweight spoils back in 2021, dropping a second round knockout loss of his own in a vacant championship affair with Charles Oliveira.

And sidelined since the following year’s submission loss to Dustin Poirier, Chandler is officially set to land his clamored-for fight with ex-two-division champion, McGregor later this year, with the pair meeting at the welterweight limit at UFC 303 during International Fight Week later this summer.

Michael Chandler predicts KO win over Conor McGregor

Reacting to news of McGregor’s part ownership of BKFC with his company, McGregor Sports and Entertainment, Michael Chandler praised the Dubliner for changing the landscape of combat sports – before offering a reality check in the form of a prediction of a knockout win in June.

“Conor out here making moves… hate it or love it, the dude is making stuff happen,” Michael Chandler posted on his official X account. “With that being said, I KO him within 10 minutes on June 29 at #UFC303 @TheNotoriousMMA”

And while Chandler has made his prediction for their UFC 303 clash, McGregor’s head coach, John Kavanagh claimed he sees the pairing play out similarly to his product’s 2015 interim featherweight title win over Chad Mendes, questioning if Chandler would see a second round.

“I see similarities to the (Chad) Mendes fight,” Kavanagh explained. “I’d be surprised if it can go two rounds. I’d be surprised. He just hits too hard. He’s too sharp. Is there gonna be scrappiness and take down stuff? Maybe. But, every round starts on the feet, and his ability to get back there is underestimated. So, I’d be surprised if we see two rounds.”

UFC fighter turned BKFC brawler ‘Platinum’ Mike Perry returned to the squared circle on Saturday night gunning for his fifth-straight win in the KnuckleMania IV main event in Los Angeles.

Standing in his way was former BKFC middleweight champion Thiago Alves, making his first appearance with the promotion since his title-winning performance against Ulysses Diaz in 2021.

Perry came out looking to put pressure on Alves early. Offering up a few combinations up against the ropes, Alves attempted to counter, but that only momentarily backed up Perry. Resuming his pursuit, Perry threw a combination punctuated by a nasty left hook that caught Alves clean, sending the former UFC standout to the canvas.

Alves answered the referee’s count, but it was clear that Alves was not all there, prompting Dan Miragliotta to call for the stoppage at the one-minute mark of the opening round.

Instead, it was something much more intriguing.

McGregor revealed that his company McGregor Sports & Entertainment is now a part owner of Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship. What exactly this means for BKFC or his future with the UFC is uncertain.

Perry seems to have a flexible contract that allows him to take part in fights outside the BKFC and when he does compete under their banner pay him very handsomely.

His last three wins consist of Michael ‘Venom’ Page, Luke Rockhold, and Eddie Alvarez and Perry is currently booked to face Thiago Alves this Saturday. Perry’s star continues to grow and has proven to attract fighters to enter his world.

“I think it could be a possibility,” Perry told MMA Fighting. “When my manager shared it and [he was like], ‘This will happen,’ I was like, whoa, that’s cool.

“Look, Conor likes to throw hands. He’s a great boxer. Fought Floyd Mayweather. He got a front row seat to watch my show with Luke [Rockhold] and he gave me respect by coming into the ring and giving me some of his time there. I think it would be fun and incredible.”

In today’s age of combat sports, it;s now hard to rule out any fight from ever taking place, but McGregor ever taking this fight, particularly in bare knuckle is highly unlikely.
