Following a close decision win over one-time Bellator welterweight title challenger, Michael Page at a BKFC (Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship) event in London last weekend, UFC alum, Mike Perry offered to share the squared circle with undefeated puncher, Jake Paul. And now days removed, Perry insists a fight with the Ohio boxer makes “a lot of sense”.

Perry, a welterweight alum of the UFC, turned his hand to bare knuckle fighting at the turn of this year, inking a multi-fight deal with the David Feldman-led, BKFC. And following a debut decision win over TUF veteran, Julian Lane in his promotional bow, Perry was forced to overtime in a decision win over Page – whom he stunning scored a knockdown over in the first round.

Grabbing the microphone following his win over London Shootfighters staple, Page, Perry called out undefeated professional boxer, Paul – offering to once again lace up a pair of gloves to fight the outspoken Ohio native.

“Jake Paul, you need an opponent,” Mike Perry said. “You need the money fight, I’m the real money fight. Maybe I’ll put the pillows back on if you’re scared to get in here.”

Mike Perry aims his sights in the direction of Jake Paul next

Doubling down on calls for a fight with YouTuber, Paul during an appearance on The MMA Hour with Ariel Helwani this Wednesday evening, Perry claimed that a fight between the two made total sense.

“I think it makes a lot of sense – he (Jake Paul) keeps losing opponents,’ Mike Perry said. “I always show up for my fights. I have a lot of the attributes that he likes to compete against; UFC fighter, MMA fighter, shorter guy, smaller in weight, tough – and some people would say stiff, and don’t move my head – and I just beat a titan in combat sports.”

“I’m here, buddy, come and get me,” Mike Perry continued. “I feel like – I don’t need him. I don’t need him. MVP (Michael Venom Page) was huge for me. That makes me feel great about myself, so I’m just a great fighter who still loves to fight. I’m all about the fight. …”

UFC welterweight alum, Mike Perry turned in a close, majority decision win after an overtime round against Bellator welterweight contender and one-time title challenger, Michael Venom Page in the British striker’s BKFC (Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship) debut — even landing a first round knockdown.

Perry, who previously competed under the David Feldman-led BKFC banner back in February, landed a unanimous decision win over fellow UFC alum, Julian Lane.

As for Page, the London Shootfighters trainee was making his first outing in professional bare knuckle fighting tonight in the capital against Perry, after dropping a unanimous split loss to Logan Storley in a Bellator welterweight title fight back in May.

Landing an impressive knockdown in the early goings of the first frame, Perry managed to sting Page with a straight right hand, dropping the Londoner to one knee.

Following a tense back and forth over the course of four further rounds, the sitting ringside judges scored the bout between Perry and Page a split draw, forcing a deciding overtime round.

Pouring the pressure on and landing a series of decent shots in the pocket as Page attempted to clinch on cue, Mike Perry managed to land a majority decision win over the former, securing his second straight BKFC victory since his landing in the organization.

Following the victory, Michigan native, Perry called for a fight against undefeated professional boxer, Jake Paul — who himself is targeting an October return to active competition.

Muay Thai legend Buakaw Banchamek made his return to Rajadamnern Stadium in Thailand for the first time in 18 years and made quick work of up-and-coming Japanese mixed martial artist Kota Miura.

With more than 250 career wins to his credit, Buakaw Banchamek is one of Muay Thai‘s most well-known and respected practitioners. The former K-I World Max Champion recently signed with Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship and is scheduled to make his promotional debut at BKFC Thailand 3 on September on September 3rd.

Ahead of his highly-anticipated bare-knuckle debut, Buakaw competed against Miura, an internet heartthrob and aspiring mixed martial artist born to footballer Kazuyoshi Miura and model Risako Miura. The two squared off inside Thailand’s longest-running boxing stadium, which first opened in 1945.

In the bout, which you can see highlights below, Buakaw delivered a showstopping performance and put Miura away in the third round by technical knockout. It was another great showing for the Muay Thai icon just weeks away from his first foray into the world of bare-knuckle boxing.

Buakaw Banchamek Will Toe The Line on September 3rd for BKFC Debut

The Muay Thai superstar will toe the line on September 3rd for his new employer, Bare Knuckle FC. First announced in July, Buakaw was added to an already bolstered BKFC roster which has seen new additions including John Dodson, Ben Rothwell, Greg Hardy, and Felice Herrig. The promotion also signed fellow Muay Thai legend Saenchai to the promotion earlier this month.

Speaking about the signing BFKC President and founder David Feldman shared his excitement about signing the former WBC Muay Thai world champion.

“This is our third event in Thailand and I can’t wait to see the legendary ‘Buakaw’ in person and for our fans all over the world to watch him on the BKFC app. Thailand is a very robust, growing market for BKFC and we’re expecting a massive crowd on hand for ‘Buakaw’s’ bare-knuckle debut. Thanks very much to our partners in Thailand; Nick Chapman and Golf along with the Singha Corporation.”

In his promotional debut, Buakaw will take on Erkan Varol. A native of Turkey, Varol is a kickboxing specialist who holds a record of 88-33 with 46 of his victories coming via knockout.
