BRAVE CF returns this week with BRAVE 28 set to take place in Bucharest, Romania, on Monday, 4 November 2019. The event is set to start at 12:00 pm ET.

This event will be the first that time that BRAVE CF has touched down in continental Europe. The card was initially slated to take place in the Philippines until circumstances forced a change of locations. The Bahrain-based promotion has said they will be returning to the South East Asian country in the future, but for now, the Philippine’s loss is Romania’s gain.

Monday’s event will be a collaborative affair with BRAVE CF partnering with local based MMA promotion RXF. BRAVE CF has a history with teaming up with local promoters to facilitate the growth of MMA in new regions.

The BRAVE matchmakers have put together a selection of bouts that should provide fans with plenty of action. The main event bout between New Zealand’s John Brewin and Polish slugger Maciej Gierszewki is shaping up to be a pivotal contest in the lightweight division. Both men come into this bout on the back of victories over Ireland’s Cian Cowley.

If that didn't give you goosebumps, then what will? Our main event for the night will be a sight to behold. Don't blink or you'll miss it. Will John Brewin add yet another win in the books or will Maciej Gierszewski Take another head as his trophy?#BRAVECF28 #BRAVECF #Romania #MMA #Europe

Gierszewki has five wins to his name, all coming via way of knockout. The Pole sent Cowley to the canvas at BRAVE 24 and will be looking to do the same against Brewin. All of Gierszewki’s losses have come via submission, and he has only gone past the opening round once in his nine bout career.

In Brewin, he will be facing a tough Kiwi fighter who has serious knockout power, plus an impressive ground game. The Bali MMA trained athlete has more tools at his disposal than Gierszewki when it comes to finding ways to get the win, and will be looking to cement himself as one of the divisions best fighters with a win this week. This bout should be an explosive encounter between two men gunning for a title shot.

The co-main event features undefeated Frenchman Benoit St-Denis taking on Poland’s Pawel Kielek. While both men are only 23-years of age, Kielek has had almost three times the number of fights as St-Denis. However, the Pole has alternated between wins and losses in recent years as opposed to St-Denis, who is looking like a solid prospect.

The Parisian based fighter only turned pro this year and has already racked up four straight victories. Kielek will be St-Denis’ most experienced opponent to date, and it will be interesting to see how he handles his upcoming test.

U.S. fans can watch the event on pay-per-view (PPV) via Fite TV. For the majority of the rest of the world, the event can be watched free on bravecftv.

Main Card:

  • John Brewin vs. Maciej Gierszewki (Lightweight)
  • Benoit St Denis vs. Pawel Kielek (Catchweight 170 lbs)
  • Nikolay Grozdev vs. Issei Moriyama (Featherweight)
  • Dansheel Moodley vs. Noureddin Hezrat (Flyweight

After a two-event tour of South America, Brave CF returns to the Middle East this week with BRAVE 27 set to go down on October 4, 2019, inside Abu Dhabi’s Mubadala Arena. The event is set to start at 7:00 pm ET.

The ten bout card will be headlined by the anticipated rematch between Brave Welterweight World Champion Abdoul Abdouraguimov and the man he captured the title from, Jarrah Al-Selawe.

The pair clashed at BRAVE 23 with Dagestan’s Abdouraguimov emerging the victor via a contentious split decision result. Jordan’s Al-Selawe felt that he had done enough to retain the title and this weekend’s clash should prove to be an absorbing affair.

Abdouraguimov, an expert grappler, came close to submitting Al-Selawe in the opening round of their previous contest while Al-Selawe got the better of the striking exchanges. It will be interesting to see how both men will approach their second encounter.

The co-main event between Morocco’s Anas Siraj Mounir and Canada’s Alex Martinez is also a rematch after the pair’s lightweight bout at BRAVE 23 was ruled a no-contest. In the opening round, Martinez inadvertently kicked Mounir in the groin, and the fight was called off after Mounir was unable to continue.

The bout should be a lively contest as both fighters will be looking to maintain their undefeated records as well hoping to build towards a run at the lightweight title.

One bout that fans should keep an eye on is the middleweight clash between Sweden’s Khamzat Chimaev and South Africa’s Mzwandile Hlongwa. Both fighters are undefeated with neither man having ever gone the distance as a professional. Their fight is shaping up to be short, fiery, and highly memorable.

U.S. fans can watch the event on pay-per-view (PPV) via Fite TV. For the majority of the rest of the world, the event can be watched free on bravecftv.

Main Card:

  • Abdoul Abdouraguimov (C) vs Jarrah Al-Selawe (BRAVE CF Welterweight World Title)

Brave Combat Federation makes its fourth trip to Brazil this week for BRAVE 25. The ten-bout card will take place Friday, 30 August inside the Arena Minas Tênis Clube, Belo Horizonte.

The main event of the card will be a lightweight title clash between reigning champion Luan Santiago and hometown hero Cleiton “Predator” Pereira da Silva. Santiago captured the crown from Jordan’s Abdul-Kareem Al-Selwady at BRAVE 23. The Brazilian unleashed a savage spinning elbow which ended the contest in an instant midway through the opening round.

Santiago and Pereira da Silva have gone back and forth via the media in the leadup to this fight, and their bout promises to be a high-octane encounter. Especially since neither man will want to lose face on home soil.

In the co-main event, Brazil’s Felipe Efrain will clash with compatriot Matheus Nicolau in a bantamweight contest. This will be Efrain’s first bout back since his failed title challenge at BRAVE 18, last November. Brave Bantamweight Champion Stephen Loman defeated Efrain via unanimous decision, but it has since emerged that four days out from that fight Efrain suffered a foot injury.

Efrain is chasing a rematch with Loman but knows if there is any chance of that happening he will need to get past Nicolau first.

Brave CF has been hitting it out of the park lately when it comes to producing entertaining cards. Despite only being around since 2016 the Bahrain-based promotion is definitely one to keep an eye on for those MMA fans looking to cast their net a little bit wider.

The card can be watched via Fite TV
