Despite low audience expectations, UFC Fight Night: Andrade vs. Lemos was a surprisingly entertaining event that featured numerous highlight-reel moments.

The majority involved the fighters competing, such as Jessica Andrade’s standing triangle submission. However, former UFC double champ Daniel Cormier also gave fans a moment of hilarious entertainment as he took to his trusty telestrator. Typically, ‘DC’ would use the device to highlight individual techniques utilized by the fighters.

But this time, Daniel Cormier used it to focus in on the reactions of his fellow commentator Brendan Fitzgerald. Check out the full video below:

Big Winners of UFC Vegas 52

Despite not having a plethora of high-profile names competing, UFC Vegas 52 was a very fun watch. Jessica Andrade will take the headlines, and with good reason, as she finished Amanda Lemos with a standing triangle choke submission. This was the first time the standing variation of the choke had been used to win a fight in the UFC, and Andrade deservingly took home a post-fight bonus.

Claudio Puelles also picked up an impressive submission victory, catching Clay Guida with a kneebar, the third of his young UFC career so far. Charles Jourdain and Marc-André Barriault both picked up slick guillotine finishes on the main card, whilst Maycee Barber dominated Montana De La Rose over three rounds to pick up a unanimous decision victory.

On the prelims, Tyson Pedro and Sergey Khandozhko both knocked out their opponents after extended layoffs from the sport, while Aoriqileng put on a brutal beating against Cameron Else.

What do you think of Daniel Cormier’s telestrator skills? What was your favorite fight of the weekend?

Brendan Fitzgerald legitimately took cover when fans were throwing trash into the Octagon following the main event of UFC Mexico City.

Fans were displeased after the main event between Yair Rodriguez vs. Jeremy Stephens was ruled a no-contest. Rodriguez poked Stephens in the eye just 15 seconds into the fight, and that was it.

During the melee, Brendan Fitzgerald went underneath the broadcast table which Michael Bisping caught on camera.

Watch the full video here:

Of course, what had happened many fans on social media were not happy. Mexican fans threw beer, popcorn, and other objects at the fighters and the Octagon. Meanwhile, Carla Esparza said she got beer poured on her following her win over Mexican fighter, Alexa Grasso.

Regardless, Brendan Fitzgerald did have some fun with it after on social media.

“Didn’t consider. Did. Smells like beer in here. Man that sucks. Best to @LiLHeathenMMA. Ughhhhhhh,” he wrote.

“The only one who didn’t duck for cover? Guess who. @bisping was like…,” Brendan Fitzgerald tweeted.

Then, to top it off, after the hectic events, the UFC commentator went for a post-fight margarita. And, hid under the bartop to poke some more fun at himself,

“Now the work is done. Time for a post fight margarita here at the hotel,” he said.

It was no doubt a bad situation that the fans created. Fighters and security were getting hit by objects, and Brendan Fitzgerald decided he might as well take cover.

Urijah Faber’s win over Ricky Simon surprised and shocked many in the combat sport world, including commentators Brendan Fitzgerald and Michael Bisping.

Making his return to the Octagon for the first time in nearly three years, Faber was a betting underdog going into his UFC Sacramento co-headliner last night. However, “The California Kid” was able to drop Simon with a right and continued the assault on the ground to eventually grab a first-round finish. It was Faber’s first win via knockout since 2007.

His hometown fans naturally went crazy, but so did Fitzgerald and Bisping who had jumped to their feet by the time the fight was over. The former tweeted after the event about calling an “incredible” night:

“I mean that night was just bananas,” Fitzgerald wrote. “As I was writing the stat in my notes for Urijah’s last KO (2007!), I had a hunch I would need it, but thought it was wishful thinking. Nope. Incredible night! (PS – I sound cooler than I look apparently).
