Chuck Liddell and his wife Heidi Northcott have agreed to drop their dueling restraining orders and have reached a custody agreement.

Two weeks ago, Liddell was caught up in a domestic violence case after allegedly assaulting his wife. He has claimed his innocence since the start and also says that he is actually the victim in this situation. All charges were dropped against Liddell days later and he filed for divorce a week after the incident.

However, both Northcott and Liddell have now dropped restraining orders against one another and have reached an agreement on the custody of their two children.

Before their resolution, Liddell recently provided details on the situation and the allegations against him. (H/T mmanews.com)

“She attacked me by putting her hands on my chest and pushing me,” he claimed. “She then slapped me in the face with her open hand, dropping her cell phone that was in her hand.

“When she caught up to me on the second-floor landing, she jumped in front of me again, put her hands on my chest and pushed me again, and then punched me in the torso with her closed fist four to five times,” Liddell continued.

According to ‘The Iceman’, Northcott was emotionally and verbally abusive toward him and has been constantly calling him a loser when she becomes angry.

As noted earlier, Northcott had filed a restraining order against her spouse as well. Within the documents, she has a much different account of what took place on October 10 and of their marriage as a whole.

Northcott claims that Liddell was heavily intoxicated when he arrived home on the 10th. After an argument between the two ensued, she claims Liddell “pushed me with his head and chest trying to get my phone.” At this point, Northcott says Liddell executed a double-leg takedown on her, leading to bruising on her tailbone.

Like Liddell, Northcott also says that this incident was not the first time there has been abuse in the relationship. She claims the UFC legend once strangled her in 2011 following a UFC event. “I was terrified that he was going to kill me,” Northcott said of that incident.

Northcott went on to express her sorrow for the path that she thinks Liddell is currently going down.

“It truly breaks my heart that the man I love has been broken down to the point where he has spiraled with his alcohol and drugs, but that does not give him liberty to take out his feelings on myself and our children,” she said. “I want him to receive help.”

In a recent Tweet, we see Chuck Liddell’s live reaction to seeing his long-time friend and training partner, Glover Teixeira winning the UFC light-heavyweight title.

Saturdays night’s UFC 267 produced one of the best cards of the year which was topped off by a memorable main event.

Glover Teixeira submitted Jan Blachowicz in the second round to become the UFC light-heavyweight champion at 42 years old.

Many took to social media to congratulate the Brazilian on his win and inspirational journey. One of which was long-time friend and teammate, former Chuck Liddell posting to his Instagram under a photo of Teixeria saying “Love you brother! So proud of you and your hard work.”

The History between Liddell and Teixeira

John Hackleman, the coach of Liddell had been impressed with a young Teixeira and had invited the young Brazilian to train at his gym, The Pit. Teixeira began training with Liddell back 2004, going on to be Liddell’s top sparring partner in 2006 until 2009. During this time Liddell would capture the UFC light-heavyweight title and would have great wins over Randy Couture, Wanderlei Silva, and Tito Ortiz.

In an interview with Fox Sport Texeria had this to say about training with Liddell “he was helping me! He’s a good man. He’s taking his time to help me. That’s great, man. I can never pay him back.”

Texiera would have to return back to his home country of Brazil and would not be able to return back into the United States until 2012 due to visa issues. On his return he would continue to work with Hackleman and excluding a few fights between 2017-2018, Hackleman would be in the corner for every one of his fights.

Chuck Liddell and wife Heidi Northcott have dropped their dueling restraining orders against one another and have reached a custody agreement.

Two weeks ago, UFC Hall of Famer Chuck Liddell was hit with domestic violence charges after allegedly assaulting his wife, Heidi Northcott. Liddell claimed his innocence from the beginning, further stating that it was he who was the victim of the incident. All charges against Liddell were dropped days later, and he would file for a divorce only one week after the arrest.

According to a report from The Blast, Liddell and Northcott have now dropped the dueling restraining orders filed against one another last month. They also have come to an agreement regarding the custody of their two children and the living arrangement moving forward.

Prior to this resolution, Liddell provided details on what he claims took place inside the family home earlier this month.

Liddell went on to state that Northcott “lost her balance” at one point in the altercation, which led to her being grounded, but he denies ever putting his hands on her.

Liddell also documented troubles the couple has endured that predated this latest incident. According to Liddell, Northcott was emotionally and verbally abusive towards him, frequently calling him a “loser” and also being physically abusive by often pushing and striking him when she became angry.

Liddell also provided a photograph that documents his alleged injuries from this month’s altercation.

She also described an incident in 2015 where the two were arguing on the freeway following a Los Angeles Lakers game. According to Northcott, an intoxicated Liddell became so angry that he attempted to run them off the freeway, but her swift intervention in grabbing the steering wheel and redirecting them back onto the lanes is what prevented it from happening.

Northcott went on to express sorrow for the path she says Liddell has gone down and believes professional intervention is warranted.

The Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office will not press charges on former UFC champion Chuck Liddell or his wife after an alleged physical altercation at their home just weeks ago.

Liddell and his wife Heidi Northcott allegedly were involved in a verbal altercation that turned physical at their home in Los Angeles. According to one of Liddell’s children, the two pushed each other in their living room when things took a dramatic turn, with Liddell suffering multiple cuts on his chest and face. Northcott declined medical treatment when officers arrived.

On Friday, Liddell filed a case of ‘dissolution of minor children’, another term for a divorce proceeding. The two have been together since 2010.

Chuck Liddell won’t face domestic violence charges after an investigation didn’t find sufficient evidence to convict

Shortly following the incident, Liddell was taken into custody despite telling officers he was the victim of the domestic violence by his wife. He was released shortly afterwards after he volunteered to be taken to jail instead of his wife.

Liddell is a UFC Hall of Famer who is well known as one of the most important figures in MMA history and is a major reason for the promotion’s rise in popularity during the early 2000s. He retired from the sport in 2018 following a trilogy loss to Tito Ortiz, and before that three straight losses in the UFC.

In a recent Instagram statement, Liddell said he was willing to be taken to jail to shield a mental health issue, but wouldn’t get into details once questions arose. As of right now, there isn’t any word on a potential civil suit between the married couple, though that could happen within the next few weeks.

Liddell hasn’t had any other run-ins with the law during his life, outside of minor traffic infractions.
