UFC president Dana White revealed his plans to drop a documentary about the media who criticized him during UFC’s covid era.
During an interview with Robbie Fox, White dropped some hints about the planned film and said it will feature the names of the several media outlets who publicly criticized him during COVID-19.
“It’s just like when we went through COVID, you know and I had to listen to all the bullsh*t as we went through COVID. And then after I came out with a little documentary I did about the media going into COVID. Which is gonna be even bigger, I’m working on even a bigger piece about the media,” White said. “Wait ‘till you see this bad boy…Faces, publications, names, what they said, the whole deal. It’s gonna live forever. And I’ll do the same thing with Power Slap once we get where we’re going.” (h/t Middle Easy)
Dana White is No Stranger to Criticism
In 2020, White faced backlash for not stopping the UFC during the pandemic. Instead, the UFC showcased fights on “Fight Island” with strict COVID-19 protocols in place.
White was recently criticized for a physical altercation with his wife during New Year’s Eve. He’s also been scolded for his new “Power Slap” league. He didn’t reveal a release date or who exactly will be featured in the documentary.

UFC light heavyweight Johnny Walker has revealed he’s tested positive for COVID-19 for the second time since the pandemic caused havoc around the world.
But days prior to the clash, Walker revealed the fight, which took place on the 19th, had initially been scheduled for the 5th. The bout was pushed back owing to a positive Covid test for Walker while he was in Ireland. The 29-year-old believes he likely caught it while traveling to Dublin to train at John Kavanagh’s SBG Ireland gym.
Fast forward nearly a year-and-a-half, to a time when the new Omicron variant is threatening to cause further havoc, and Walker has found himself back in isolation following a positive result.
Taking to his Instagram on Sunday, the #10-ranked light heavyweight contender revealed the news and described his current case as similar to his first in terms of symptoms. He also confirmed he’d been vaccinated in late 2021.
“COVID 2, Johnny 0. Second time testing positive, I took the Johnson vaccine two months ago and was still infected. I felt the same symptoms last time, which are just that of a flu.
“Well, I’m at rest and taking advantage of the opportunity I’m recording everything to post on my YouTube channel, supplements, diet, symptoms. If you want to stay on top of everything I’ll post it weekly, the link is in my bio, subscribe there, it’s free. Don’t forget your mask. My new year was quarantined.”
What’s Next For Johnny Walker?
In March 2019, Walker was arguably one of the hottest rising prospects in the UFC. After earning a contract on Dana White’s Contender Series, the Brazilian entered the promotion with consecutive first-round knockouts. He made that three when he finished Misha Cirkunov with a brutal flying knee at UFC 235.
But Walker’s fortunes changed pretty quick. In fact, they did so about 10 seconds after his fight with Cirkunov ended when a worm celebration left him sidelined with a dislocated shoulder. Upon his return, the Rio de Janeiro native fell to back-to-back losses for the first time in his career. Those defeats came against Corey Anderson and Nikita Krylov.
Despite rebounding against Spann, Walker failed to carry that momentum into his main event debut. In a lackluster clash with former title challenger Thiago Santos in October 2021, the 29-year-old was outpointed across five frames.
With three losses in his last four Octagon outings, Walker’s next appearance is crucial in keeping his place inside the 205-pound top 10. But the tough tests look set to continue for the SBG Ireland product. Recent reports suggest the UFC is targeting a matchup between Walker and Jamahal Hill.
While Walker will be looking to return the win column this year, Hill will be hoping to continue his form, which saw him finish Jimmy Crute in the opening round last month. The #12-ranked contender’s victory over the Australian marked an impressive rebound from his sole MMA loss against Paul Craig last year, which saw him suffer a gruesome dislocated elbow.
How do you think Johnny Walker would fare against Jamahal Hill?

The UFC bossman himself, Dana White, and his entire family have tested positive for COVID-19.
White revealed the news on The Jim Rome Podcast, stating that he and his family were in isolation after testing positive for the virus despite at least him having the vaccine. He explained that they had gone to Maine to see family as a Thanksgiving tradition and contracted the virus there.
White then explained that while isolating, shortly after finding out he was positive, he followed the advice of UFC commentator, podcaster, and comedian Joe Rogan. Rogan has been a hot topic of discussion in recent months for the way he handled his own COVID-19 diagnosis. Using the likes of Ivermectin, monoclonal antibodies, and more, the UFC president said that his mild symptoms of the virus had passed within a day.
“We just went up to my place in Maine and for Thanksgiving. It’s tradition. We go up there, and somebody had it, and we get back, and we all tested positive for COVID. Literally, the whole family and my family up in Maine, too,” White said (h/t MMAJunkie).
“We got back on Saturday. On Sunday, I cold plunge and steam every day,” White said. “So I get out of the cold plunge and steam, and I spray the eucalyptus and I was like, ‘What the hell?’ I couldn’t smell anything. So I opened the bottle and start sniffing the bottle of eucalyptus, and I couldn’t smell and I was like, ‘I know what this means.’ I literally got out of the steam and got on my phone and called Joe Rogan.
“I get up, 9 o’clock Monday morning, and I get tested,” White continued. “He said get monoclonal antibodies in you as soon as possible, so I did. By noon, I had the monoclonal antibodies in me. Then he told me to do a NAD drip. I did that right after. The next day – so Sunday at 8 o’clock at night I have no taste or smell. I get up Tuesday getting ready to shave. Cleaning my razor, I could smell the alcohol. My taste and smell were back by the next day by 11 o’clock. Then I took a dose of ivermectin. Then yesterday I did a vitamin drip, and today I’m doing another NAD drip.
“Never felt better. I’m feeling like a million bucks. I’m doing two-a-day workouts for the next 10 days while I have COVID and I’m in quarantine. I got my smell and taste back in less than 24 hours.”
Of course, the primary concern is the health and safety of Dana White, and it is great to see that he is doing better and that the advice from Joe Rogan helped him. Whether you agree with those choices or not, everyone wants to see the same outcome, which is people recovering well if they do catch COVID-19.

White said during an interview on The Jim Rome Podcast that he and his entire family tested positive for COVID-19 over the weekend, with all of them experiencing mild to moderate symptoms of the virus.
This comes just days before the UFC’s next event in Las Vegas, UFC Vegas 44 featuring a bantamweight showdown between top contenders Rob Font and Jose Aldo.
“We just went up to my place in Maine and for Thanksgiving, it’s a tradition we go up there, and somebody had it, and we get back, and we all tested positive for COVID,” White said. “The whole family and my family up in Maine, too. I got out of the steam and got on my phone and called Joe Rogan.”

Dana White Is Experiencing Mild Symptoms of COVID-19 And Was Fully Vaccinated
White went on to say that he was fully vaccinated and that overall, his symptoms were very minimal. He anticipates a return to work as soon as possible, although an exact timeline is uncertain.
White and his family are currently in isolation and are all recovering well from the virus.
As for Rogan, his unique COVID-19 advice continues to be proven effective, despite criticism. Ivermectin, a drug that Rogan has spoken out and helped set White up with, isn’t officially approved as a treatment for the virus.

After being implored to wear a mask inside of a café in Dublin, MMA fighter David McCarthy became enraged but has since apologized for his actions.
McCarthy reportedly insulted the Butler’s café staff in Dublin, Ireland. The fighter continued to insult staff while recording the events with his cell phone. The video shows the MMA fighter unmasked and agitated to the point of hurling abusive language at the café workers. While customers attempted to defend the café staff, that did not stop McCarthy from his verbal onslaught.
The video of the confrontation went viral on social media, and McCarthy has since apologized for his actions. The MMA fighter admitted that he’s been limiting himself to 900 calories daily in order to lose weight for suicide prevention awareness. In addition, the fighter maintains that he woke up at 2:30 a.m on the morning of the incident.
“I made a mistake. Human. Let he who is without sin. I’m shedding weight for #movember in aid of suicide prevention. I deliberately woke at 2.30am that morning.” “I had less than 900 calories for 2 weeks straight. ALL protein no carbs.” David McCarthy said through social media.
“I worked out extremely hard. And had 100 more things on the go! I am human and learning everyday.”
According to the initial report, McCarthy was said to have used homophobic slurs. Following the conflict, the MMA fighter has apologized and claims that he will learn from these mistakes.
Do you think David McCarthy’s apology is sufficient?

After being in the media’s crosshairs for some time, a few of Joe Rogan’s views on the COVID-19 pandemic were mocked in an opening skit on Saturday Night Live.
The sketch shows actor, Pete Davidson, wearing a bald cap and a black button-down shirt denoting Rogan in his typical UFC fight night attire. As the fake Rogan enters the scene with a bag of unidentified pills, he shows up on a ‘Newsmax Kids’ rendition of Seasame Street, hosted by U.S. Texas Senator, Ted Cruz, played by Aidy Bryant.
The scene depicts fake Joe Rogan arriving at Ted Cruz street to help Big Bird with a case of COVID. After shoveling some pills down his throat, the Rogan impersonator offers Big Bird a helping hand.
“I used to host Fear Factor and now doctors fear me,” he says. “I took Carlos Mencia down, I can take COVID.” Fake Rogan replies to Big Bird’s request for help.
“Here’s some zinc, and ayahuasca, and horse medicine,” Fake Rogan continues. “I’m a human and I took horse medicine. And speaking of things that are horse-like, today’s two sponsors are the letters S and D, as in ‘I can S my own D.’”
Following his diagnosis of COVID-19 ten weeks ago, the real Joe Rogan went to social media and revealed a cocktail of drugs he took to eradicate the virus from his body in a remarkable amount of time.
The second stanza, of course, is a reference to Joe Rogan’s intrepid claim on The Joe Rogan Experience. The former Fear Factor host shared that he is able to perform oral sex on himself. The autoerotic declaration was made during a bizarre conversation with podcast guests Ari Shaffir, Mark Normand, and Shane Gillis.
What do you make of SNL’s recent skit about Joe Rogan?
