Earlier tonight (Sat. March 16, 2019) UFC London took place from the O2 Arena in London, England.
On the ESPN+ prelims, Dan Ige picked up a tremendous submission victory over Danny Henry. Ige was masterful in his performance, getting the fight to the ground, and quickly sinking in the rear-naked choke. With his first-round submission win, Ige has been given a Performance Of The Night bonus worth $50,000.
In the main event of the evening, Darren Till and Jorge Masvidal tore the house down. Even if the fight only did last a round and a half. Till looked like he had control of things early on, but in the second round, Masvidal began to find a home for his body kick. Eventually, “Gamebred” landed a hellacious hook that rendered the Englishman unconcious.
The defeat marked the first knockout loss of Till’s career. Both men were awarded $50,000 Fight Of The Night bonuses for their epic main event. However, Masvidal took home an extra $50,000 for a separate Performance Of The Night bonus for his knockout of Till. Unfortunately, he might take a hit on those winnings because of his post-fight antics.
