Fury has been very vocal about wanting to challenge the UFC’s heavyweight division after he’s done boxing the top names in his own sport. However, when asked about this, UFC president Dana White said he simply doesn’t understand why Fury would want to come over to MMA when he’s doing so well for himself in boxing.

“Tyson Fury had a tough time in his last fight in a boxing match. Coming over to MMA is a whole ‘nother story,” White said. “… Listen, anything’s possible. If Tyson Fury wants to fight in MMA, I’ve got a ton of guys that would love to fight him.

“I just don’t know why. I can’t wrap my head around why. …He’s an incredible fighter. Promoted the right way, [he] could be a part of three or four of the biggest fights in heavyweight [boxing] history. Why come over here and get smashed when you could stay there? Tyson Fury, your time is now. You’re the man in boxing. You’re one of the top four guys in the world in boxing. Why even think of coming over here?”

Do you think Fury will seriously compete in MMA?

It looks like Tyson Fury’s mixed martial arts (MMA) training will begin this weekend.

The boxing lineal heavyweight champion took to Twitter and revealed he’ll be training with UFC middleweight competitor, and former welterweight title challenger, Darren Till, over the weekend.

“Good news everybody, I’m going to go training with Darren Till this weekend, we’re going to smash it!” Fury said. “He’s going to get me started on my MMA career!”

Fury has been talking about a potential career in MMA for some time now. His talk has picked up so much steam that even former UFC heavyweight title challenger Francis Ngannou is interested in fighting Fury. Ex-NFL star-turned-UFC heavyweight Greg Hardy is also interested in fighting Hardy.

However, one skeptic regarding Fury’s MMA aspirations is UFC president Dana White. He simply can’t understand why Fury would want to venture into MMA given his current success inside the boxing ring.

“Tyson Fury had a tough time in his last fight in a boxing match. Coming over to MMA is a whole ‘nother story,” White said. “… Listen, anything’s possible. If Tyson Fury wants to fight in MMA, I’ve got a ton of guys that would love to fight him.

What do you think about Fury actually beginning his MMA training with Till this weekend?

Robert Whittaker was very impressed with Darren Till’s debut at 185 pounds.

“The Reaper” was watching closely as Till faced Kelvin Gastelum in the co-main event of UFC 244 last week. Till edged out a split decision win over Gastelum – a former interim middleweight title challenger – after 15 minutes of fighting.

Now, speaking to The Daily Telegraph, Whittaker was asked about the rumors that the UFC is heading back to London in March of 2020, and if he’d like to headline that card against Till.

“That’s the fight I’m currently interested in,” Whittaker said. “Plus I’ve never been to Europe before, so what better reason to go?”

Speaking on his podcast, “Grange TV,” following Till’s win over Gastelum, Whittaker had nothing but praise for the Englishman’s debut performance at middleweight. He immediately recognized it was possible he’d be fighting “The Gorilla” next.

“Till was landing a lot of clean shots,” Whittaker said. “I think that he was nullifying a lot of Gastelum’s striking, because he was stepping out on the jab, dropping his level on the two, and then turning it into the clinch.

“I think it was beautiful. I think Till came in with a great gameplan, I think he executed it perfectly, cause Gastelum is a super underrated, super, super dangerous fighter.”

What do you think about a potential fight between Whittaker and Till next?

Darren Till might have spoken too soon when he called out Yoel Romero for his next fight. The Englishman had taken to his Instagram account to post a picture of “The Soldier Of God,” captioning it, “Leg’s go,” before tagging Romero.

However, a day later, Till took to Instagram yet again to hilariously double guess the callout. He posted a meme that read “When you wake up, and realize you called out Yoel Romero.” Check it out here:

Ahhh fuck ??????

A fight between the pair certainly makes sense. Romero comes off a decision loss to Paulo Costa in what was a middleweight title eliminator. As for Till, he made a successful debut at 185 pounds this past weekend. Till bested Kelvin Gastelum in the co-main event of UFC 244 last week.

With the win, Till is one big victory away from a potential title opportunity. Romero has been speculated to be Israel Adesanya’s next challenger for the middleweight strap, but UFC president Dana White has noted he wants the Cuban to get a win before facing Adesanya. If so, a fight with Till would certainly make sense for all parties involved.

What do you make of Darren Till’s reaction to himself calling out Romero next?
