Tyson Fury is approaching his highly-anticipated rematch with Deontay Wilder this weekend.

Fury and Wilder headline the pay-per-view (PPV) event from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. Wilder will be defending his WBC heavyweight championship. Just days away from the fight, Fury recently did an interview with The Daily Caller, and made some jokes about his post-fight celebration plans. Fury said he plans on binging cocaine and cheap hookers after his expected win over “The Bronze Bomber.”

“After the fight, I’m going to binge on cocaine and hookers,” Fury said. “Is there anything better than cocaine and hookers? I go to the cheap $30 ones. Yeah [on advice for dealing with a cheap hooker] always give yourself a shot of penicillin before shagging them. If you haven’t got the penicillin then always double bag up.”

One could assume Fury is simply joking, however, “The Gypsy King” has admitted to drug use in the past when he was dealing with depression. Specifically admitting to the use of cocaine. Fury has also admitted to hanging out with “ladies of the night” in the past. Now, Fury seems to have learned to manage his depression issues better, and has been looking great inside the ring ahead of his return against Wilder.

The lineal heavyweight champ only has a few fights left on his deal with ESPN, and has said he’ll seriously consider retirement after the deal is up.

What do you think about Fury saying he wants to binge on cocaine and hookers after his fight with Wilder?

It’s fight week! The eagerly anticipated heavyweight rematch between Deontay Wilder and Tyson Fury is finally upon us. On Saturday 22 February these two men will square off once again for the WBC title at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The first fight ended in a controversial draw. Fury outboxed his opponent for much of the bout but Wilder scored two knockdowns which meant the judges couldn’t split the fighters.

Although a disappointing conclusion at the time, the draw has allowed one of the biggest rematches of recent years to come into being. It has become so big because no-one, not even the bookmakers have a clue what’s going to happen.

Both men are priced 10/11 to win the fight, so you’ll have to find another avenue for your bets if you want to make serous money on this one. If your going to be betting this weekend check out bettinglounge for all the best betting sites, offers and bonuses.

American heavyweight
Deontay Wilder is one of the biggest punchers in boxing history. The 43-fight
veteran has amazingly stopped every fighter he’s been in with besides Tyson
Fury. Unsurprisingly the bookmakers think if he’s going to pull it off it’ll be
by knockout. With this in mind they are offering 6/5 on him to score the
knockout victory.

In contrast the ‘Gypsy King’ is hefty 5/1 to get a knockout win. Despite not being known for having serious power, Fury still has 20 finishes on his record. At times he hurt Wilder in the last fight, so don’t be surprised to see him pour it on this Saturday night and make some punters big money by getting a KO win.

Whilst the oddsmakers doubt Fury can score a knockout win they seriously doubt Wilder will win this one on the cards. The 34-year-old from Alabama is priced at 11/1 to win this fight via the judges’. In fairness they’ve got good reason for this assumption. Wilder’s obvious lust for finishing his opponents combined with his often-sloppy style causes him to lose rounds before ultimately scoring the finish. He’s not a point scorer, he’s not coming to win a decision this weekend and that is reflected in the odds.

On the other hand, Fury
is a master technician and elite level boxer in every sense of the word. His
style is hit and don’t get hit, something he’ll surely want to employ against
heavy hitter Wilder. If he’s able to successfully execute that tactic Fury is likely
take this fight to the judges and get the decision, he felt he had earned in
the first fight. Anyone fancying Fury to do just that will find odds of 13/8 on
the Manchester heavyweight scoring a decision/technical decision victory. They
aren’t the biggest so you may need to bet big, if your confident Fury gets it
done over 12 rounds.

Finally, we can’t’ forget about the draw. Anyone fancying a repeat of the first fights result can get 20/1 odds. I might even have a dabble on this one myself, either way its going to be a close fight, don’t be surprised if Wilder and Fury are again too close to separate.

It’ll go down at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada in front of a sold out crowd and millions watching around the world.

The two men previously
fought in December 2018, with the fight ending in a controversial draw. Englishman
Fury out boxed his opponent for most of the fight. However, Wilder scored two
knockdowns in the later rounds to swing it back in his favour.

As part of the
fight week build up, BT Sport have put together an epic promotional video which
sees heavyweight great Mike Tyson hype up the fight.

In the video Tyson recites lines about the previous fight and what’s to come. All whilst footage and voice overs of both fighters play in the background. No explanation can do this video justice, so watch it below and get hyped for the biggest fight of 2020.

The former champion himself has made no secret about who he’ll be rooting for on Saturday night. Speaking to BT Sport he admitted his bias towards the Englishman due to Fury having been named in his honour, he said.

“I always root for
him because he was named after me. That’s the natural thing to do, right? I’m
biased towards him…

“I don’t care how hard you punch, it’s
hard to beat somebody who doesn’t wanna quit…

“It’s gonna be a really, really
interesting fight and both guys have something to prove. I just wish the best

The latter of which, arguably, could’ve been ruled a knockout.

Now, the rematch will finally take place from the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada on Saturday, February 22. The main card will get underway around 9:00 p.m. ET. Viewers can purchase the PPV through traditional cable and satellite providers, the FOX Sports GO app, or ESPN+.

Fury Wilder

Tyson Fury remains confident of getting the victory over Deontay Wilder in their rematch — however, there is one concern for the Briton.

Fury challenges Wilder for the WBC heavyweight title once again when they collide on February 22 in Las Vegas. It will be Fury’s first fight since suffering a nasty gash above his right eye in his September fight with Otto Wallin.

Luckily for Fury, he was able to go all 12 rounds with Wallin and get the victory despite the cut, which required 47 stitches afterward.

And although a couple of months have passed since that injury, “The Gypsy King” believes there is a risk of it opening up again during the Wilder rematch:

“The eye is doing well,” Fury told Sky Sports recently. “The eye is healed up quite well. Is there any risk? I don’t know because I am not a surgeon.

“I am sure there will be. There is nothing much I can do about that. If it opens up it opens us. It’s out of my control. There is nothing I can do about that eye opening in a fight.”

On the other hand, Wilder has already revealed that he plans on targeting and opening the cut along with a new one as well:

“I will absolutely be using that cut as a target, and I am definitely going to open it up again,” the American said. “I will make sure I open that one up and I’ll make sure I open a new one up too.

“It’s going to be a bloody night for him and all I can say to him is ‘buddy rest up’, you’re going to need it, it’s going to be a long and painful night.”

Hopefully, the cut on the eye remains shut so fans won’t have to witness the highly-anticipated sequel prematurely ending due to a doctor stoppage.

What do you think of Fury’s cut on his eye potentially being a factor in the rematch?
