It looks like UFC 244 will feature yet another big appearance this weekend. After it was confirmed that The Rock will be in attendance this weekend to award the winner of Nate Diaz vs. Jorge Masvidal the Baddest Mother F*cker Championship, it has been confirmed that United States President Donald Trump is currently scheduled to attend as well.

A White House correspondent, Annie Karni, of The New York Times, confirms President Trump is “tentatively scheduled” to attend UFC 244 inside Madison Square Garden in New York City this weekend.

“Weekend Plans: Trump is tentatively scheduled to go to NYC to attend an MMA event at Madison Square Garden on Sat night, per sources. Stay over at Trump Tower. Great news for traffic on NYC Marathon Sunday.”

President Trump has quite the history with the mixed martial arts (MMA) scene. He was inducted into the New Jersey State Martial Arts Hall of Fame in 2013. He is also good friends with UFC president Dana White, who spoke on behalf of Trump at the 2016 Republican National Convention.

Trump allowed a pair of UFC events to go down from his Trump Taj Mahal in Atlantic City back in 2001 when the UFC had difficulties booking venues. In 2008, President Trump also partnered with Affliction Entertainment to create an MMA promotion that put on two shows, one featuring legendary heavyweight Fedor Emelianenko. White also hosted former interim UFC welterweight champion Colby Covington, and White, at the White House back in June of 2018.

Colby Covington Will Ask President Trump About Deporting Ali Abdelaziz

It’s no secret that former interim UFC welterweight champion Colby Covington and MMA manager Ali Abdelaziz don’t like one another. In fact, the pair engaged in a Vegas buffet brawl the day after UFC 239 in Las Vegas.

Abdelaziz has recently gotten himself into more trouble, allegedly punching another MMA manager in Abe Kawa at a recent Professional Fighters League (PFL) show. Speaking to Submission Radio, Covington noted he’s surprised Abdelaziz hasn’t been deported from the country yet. He plans on speaking to United States President Donald Trump on the matter soon.

“Well, first off, you got to get his name right. His name is Ali Abdelasleaze. The sleazeball is a terrorist rat. The guy has no boundaries, I can’t believe he hasn’t been deported yet,” Covington said. “By the way, I’m about to get on the phone with Donald Trump after I get off this interview. That is the second time he has punched someone in the face in the last couple of months.

“He has two charges pending in Vegas against him. Also, I don’t know if you guys, you guys should do your research and do some digging into this, but he also has a sexual assault case against one of the UFC employees for trying to rape one of the UFC employees at an event. You should dig into that and start asking Ali those questions. The guy is a complete scumbag, a dirtbag, and I don’t know how he hasn’t been deported yet.

“He must have definitely ratted all his friends from Egypt and got them life sentences and must still be giving them informant type information to be getting off all the charges he has gotten off. That guy is literally done everything there is to in the book besides kill somebody that we know of. The guy is a sleazeball and that is that.”

As of this writing, there are no credible reports to support the allegations from Covington that Abdelaziz sexually harassed a UFC employee. However, we’ll keep you updated as we learn more. Currently, Covington is scheduled to take on Kamaru Usman in the main event of the December UFC 245 pay-per-view (PPV) for the welterweight championship.

Do you think Covington will actually ask Trump about deporting Abdelaziz?

Colby Covington is one of the most controversial stars in mixed martial arts (MMA) today.

A lot of that has to do with his very open support for current United States President Donald Trump. Covington was the first fighter to visit the White House after winning UFC gold last year. It was there that he developed a relationship with Trump, who called Covington to congratulate him this past weekend after his victory over Robbie Lawler.

However, despite his staunch support for the President, it turns out Covington didn’t actually vote for Trump in the 2016 election. MMA reporter Jeremy Botter checked voter registration records in the states where Covington has lived, and realized Covington was not registered to vote in 2016.

In short, Covington didn’t vote for anyone. Responding in a statement to Botter, Covington admitted he has never registered to vote in his life, as he has always been skeptical of all politicians before Trump.

Well I’ll be damned. Finally we have a story that isn’t fake news. You are correct. I have never registered to vote in my life.

I have hated politics and politicians for as long as I can remember. I have always found them to be liars and hypocrites, seeking nothing but to further their self interests in the name of public service.

I openly admit that I felt the same way going into the 2016 election. While I was certain that Hillary was a fraud, I was likewise skeptical of now President Trump and the promises he was making. How could I not be, especially in light of the media‘s portrayal of him and his agenda?

No, I did not register to vote in 2016 or any election prior to that. I did not trust President Trump at the time and have never been a fan of members of either side of the aisle.

And then it happened. Against all odds and with just about about every card in the deck stacked against him, including many uncooperative members of his own party, the guy started delivering on his promises. He began to make America great again.

I am blown away at the success he has had in the short time he has been in office. I shudder to think of just how far along we would be if he was treated even close to fairly by the media and the occupants of the swamp in Washington D.C.

I began to support our President when I realized he was a true man of the people, looking to make our country great for all of us instead of using the office for his personal gain. The support is growing stronger by the day as he continues to deliver on his promises.

I will be registering to vote in the 2020 election and do my part to ensure this man finishes the job he has started.

It was a big weekend for former interim UFC welterweight champion Colby Covington.

“Chaos” took home a landslide unanimous decision victory over former welterweight champion Robbie Lawler in their UFC Newark main event. Covington was able to outclass his former American Top Team (ATT) training partner for five rounds with relentless pressure. After his win, Covington received a phone call from United States President Donald Trump.

Speaking to media after the event, Covington revealed what the United States President had to tell him after his win. (via MMA Junkie)

“Donald Trump, Mr. President, he tweeted out support for me before the fight, and then after the fight, he gave me a call,” Covington said. “He just said he appreciates everything I’ve done. He wants me to come back to the White House and shake his hand again and hang out with him in the Oval Office.

“He just appreciates how much I do and the hard-working American. I haven’t been given anything. I’ve had to work and earn everything I have. This (fight) was a landslide, just like it’s going to be a landslide in 2020.”

Covington is undoubtedly Trump’s favorite UFC fighter, as the pair met following Covington’s interim title victory last year. Now, he has a chance to become the undisputed 170-pound champion of the world, as he’s the likely next challenger for Kamaru Usman’s throne.

The pair set up the likely meeting with a tense post-fight interview on ESPN+.
