Moein Ahmadi, Donald Trump

MMA fighter Moein Ahmadi paid tribute to former U.S. President Donald Trump’s near assassination during his walkout to the cage.

Ahmadi and Theodor Berggren squared off in a welterweight matchup at FCR 21 on Saturday. Ahmadi entered the fight as a betting underdog despite back-to-back wins entering the event.

MMA fighters like Ahmadi and Berggren are known to express their creative sides during their pre-fight walkouts. Ahmadi opted to recreate the attempted assassination of Trump with a full crew who played the role of secret service agents.

Watch Ahmadi’s nod to Trump below.

Ahmadi’s nod to Trump didn’t result in a victory, as he lost by first-round TKO against Berggren.

Thomas Matthew Crooks injured seven, including Trump, during the assassination attempt in July in Butler, Pennsylvania. The incident remains under investigation by the U.S. federal government.

Trump is an avid MMA and UFC fan, having attended numerous high-profile events in recent years. He was most recently cage side at UFC 302 in Newark for the Islam Makhachev vs. Dustin Poirier headliner.

Trump’s longtime friendship with UFC CEO Dana White is well documented. In the early 2000s, when the UFC was struggling to gain traction, Trump hosted numerous fight cards at his resorts.

As for Ahmadi, he had one of the most unique MMA walkouts of 2024, but it didn’t pay off with a win. He fell to 6-6-0 in his professional MMA career.

Presidential candidate Donald Trump is not happy with talk show host Joe Rogan. Earlier this year, Rogan picked someone else for his vote and Trump and his followers did not take kindly to this.

Donald Trump On Joe Rogan

Joe Rogan is the industry leader when it comes to talk show podcasts. In a prior 2024 episode, he said that Robert F. Kennedy Jr. was the only presidential candidate that made sense, when he claimed, “He’s the only one that makes sense to me.”

The thin-skinned Donald Trump and the sensitive MAGA followers were triggered by this and began attacking Rogan. Trump threatened that Rogan would be Bood at the next UFC event. Long-time listeners of Rogan were confused and angry.

Rogan quickly changed his tune in response and had a full change of heart after the outcry. Donald Trump held firm in attacking Joe Rogan in a recent interview. Trump said:

“I’ve only seen him when I walk into the arena with Dana [White] and I shake his hand, I see him there. I think he’s good at what he does, but I don’t know about doing his podcast… I’m not asking anybody. It’s not really a negotiation, and he’s sort of a liberal guy I guess, from what I understand. But he likes Kennedy, this was before he came in with us.” [Ht BJPenn]

RFK Jr once ran as an independent but has fallen in line and submitted to Trump. But, RFK has not been kind in his past remarks on Donald Trump. Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has called Donald Trump terms such as frightened, barely coherent, and a terrible president.

Joe Rogan, formerly of NewsRadio and Fear Factor, has found huge success in his long-form talk show podcast which boasts millions of listeners. Rogan has also been a long-time employee of the UFC, of which UFC president Dana White is a close friend of Trump and is even an RNC speaker.

Dana White Claims Donald Trump is the Greatest Fighter of All-Time

Dana White thinks Donald Trump is the “greatest fighter ever.” No, seriously. He said that.

The relationship between White and the three-time GOP nominee has been well documented. In White’s early days of trying to turn the Ultimate Fighting Championship into the global juggernaut it is today, the UFC CEO struggled to book venues as the sport was quickly labeled as barbaric and likened to human cockfighting.

Trump was one of the few friends of the organization willing to open his doors and allow the promotion to run at his venues. White never forgot that and continues to sing the praises of the former U.S. president in interviews and regularly rolls out the red carpet every time ’45’ attends a UFC event.

“He showed up for the first fight and stayed till the last fight for both events,” White said in an interview with FOX News. “He’s a guy who would reach out to me my entire career when good things happen and say, ‘Hey, congratulations. I always knew you were going to do it’” (h/t BJPenn.com).

Dana White calls Trump the ‘most resilient human being’ he’s ever met

White believes we got a real sense of Trump’s strength in July when an assassination attempt in Butler, Pennsylvania nearly took the embattled millionaire’s life. Trump was struck in the ear and was practically forced off stage by the Secret Service while pumping his fist in the air and yelling “Fight!”

“Number one,” White said while discussing where Trump ranks among the greatest fighters ever. “You take any of the greatest fighters of all time, Trump is No. 1. The most resilient human being that I’ve ever met in my life.”

Two days after the assassination attempt, Trump accepted the GOP’s nomination for president at the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee. White was on hand to speak on behalf of his friend, just as he did in 2016.

After getting voted out of the White House during the 2020 election, Trump will attempt to once again take up residency at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue this fall.

Donald Trump is a Huge Fan of Dustin Poirier: "He's a really great fighter."

Former United States President, Donald Trump may have claimed earlier this summer how his all-time favorite fighter in combat sports is former UFC champion, Khabib Nurmagomedov, however, showed some praise for the Russian’s prior foe, Dustin Poirier following his most recent Octagon walk.

Poirier, a former interim lightweight champion under the banner of the UFC, has been sidelined since he tackled on the above-mentioned, Nurmagomedov’s protege, Islam Makhachev in May – suffering a fifth round D’Arce choke submission loss in the pair’s undisputed title fight.

And receiving plaudits for his showdown and performance with Makhachev in New Jersey, Poirier has now been lauded as a “really great fighter” by Republican candidate, Trump during his latest podcast tour.

Donald Trump heaps praise on UFC star, Dustin Poirier

“He’s (Dustin Poirier) great, boy, I’ll tell you he’s a warrior,” Donald Trump told Theo Von. “Whether you like him or not, he’s a warrior. No, he didn’t lose that fight [against Islam Makhachev]. He’s really, man, his fight was tough. He was tough and I didn’t expect that same fight. He makes people suffer, there’s no question about that. He’s a pro – he’s a professional.”

“As that fight went along, he just got stronger and stronger,” Donald Trump explained. “He was getting pounded and was going to be choked out four different times and he just wouldn’t let it happen. Man, he’s good, he’s a really great fighter.”

Confirming plans for one fight fight in the Octagon amid speculation regarding his fighting future in combat sports, the above-mentioned Lafayette striker, Poirier welcomed the chance to box long-time rival, Nate Diaz to boot

“I would love to [box],” Dustin Poirier said. “That would be fun and exciting. … Just a change of speeds, different training camp, just something different. I’ve been doing MMA a while. I still love the training camps and love fighting, but to go to purely boxing, the whole training camp would be a lot less wearing on my body. No wrestling, no jiu-jitsu, running, swimming, that’s fun.

“I’d box Nate [Diaz],” Dustin Poirier explained. “… I’d rather [fight] Nate in boxing, I think.”

Michael Chandler would love to kick Conor McGregor’s ass in front of Donald Trump.

Chandler has been nothing, but patient while waiting for his red panty night against the Irish megastar. It looked as though the way would finally pay off on June 29 when the two were scheduled to headline UFC 303 in Las Vegas. Unfortunately, the fight never came to be after McGregor bowed out due to a broken pinky toe.

Recent rumors suggest that their clash will be rebooked for UFC 310 in December, though no official announcements have been made.

In the meantime, ‘Mystic Mac’ has been picking a fight with former U.S. president Donald Trump after ’45’ dubbed Khabib Nurmagomedov the greatest fighter of all time. Obviously, that didn’t sit well with the Irishman.

Donald Trump and Khabib

During a recent interview courtesy of Lucky Block Casino, Michael Chandler offered his full sport to the GOP nominee and expressed his hope to see Trump in the arena when he finally settles things with McGregor on MMA’s biggest stage.

“I would love to fight Conor with Donald Trump, our 45th and soon-to-be 47th president, cage-side,” Chandler said.”That would be awesome. Obviously, he and I have hung out a couple of times and had a few conversations, so it would be awesome to have him at the fight. I think it would be great.

“The last time I spoke to Donald Trump, the fight had not been announced yet, so he was just saying, ‘Man, you deserve this fight. It’s a fight that everyone wants to see. It’s a fight that the Trump team wants to see,’ so that was the last thing that he said about it, and obviously since then, the fight got booked, contract signed, and then it changed.”

Chandler suggests Donald Trump has more testicular fortitude than McGregor

While Conor McGregor called Trump’s favoritism toward Nurmagomedov a “campaign-ending decision,” Chandler thinks that America’s favorite warrior against wokeism will be just fine come election night in November.

‘Iron’ also suggested that when it comes to Trump and McGregor, it’s the former president who has the bigger set of cojones.

“Conor’s tweets are absolutely not going to touch Donald Trump’s candidacy and presidency at all. But it shows you the hatred between Conor and Khabib is still deep. It’s real. I can’t imagine living like that. Conor and I had a nice little back and forth. I said, ‘If you had half the balls Donald Trump did, you would have shown up on June 29th,’ because Donald Trump’s got some balls.

“He says what is on his mind, and obviously I have shown my support for Donald Trump, and I believe he will win in November, and the world will be a better place because of it.”
