Khamzat Chimaev Hopes Donald Trump is Elected, Blaming Democrats For Visa Issues

Khamzat Chimaev seems to think the Democrats are to blame for his lack of Stateside fights.

After a fast and furious start to his UFC career that saw him score three wins over the course of eight weeks, ‘Borz’ has barely averaged one fight per year since 2021 for a variety of reasons, most of them associated with his continued health problems.

Recently, Chimaev was scheduled to headline the promotion’s debut in Saudi Arabia on June 22 against Robert Whittaker but was forced to bow out after becoming “violently ill” with an undisclosed illness.

Now, the undefeated Chechen star is expected back inside the Octagon on October 26 when the promotion heads back to Abu Dhabi for UFC 308 at Etihad Arena. Chimaev is once again slated to fight ‘The Reaper’ in what is being touted as a middleweight title eliminator, though ‘Borz’ isn’t entirely convinced that the UFC will make good on its promise.

“I don’t know we will see,” Chimaev told Alex Zubayraev. “They promise me a title eliminator every time… When I fought Gilbert Burns it was the No.1 contender fight. After the Kamaru Usman fight I didn’t get the title shot either. Now it’s the third time… Let’s see, hopefully” (h/t Sportskeeda).

Chimaev isn’t entirely wrong in his statement, but if he’s truly looking for somebody to blame for his lack of title opportunities, he may want to take a look in the mirror. Chimaev has seen six previously scheduled matchups canceled over the last few years, at least four of them the result of his own illnesses or weight-cutting issues.

Another problem seems to be the fact that ‘Borz’ can’t get cleared to enter the United States due to his close relationship with Chechen warlord Ramzan Kadyrov. However, Chimaev thinks much of that can be resolved should GOP nominee Donald Trump win the upcoming U.S. presidential election on November 5.

“As long as Donald Trump is not the president [of the United States] we can’t come back to the U.S. Maybe that’s the reason. Let’s not cover the truth. But I’m not upset. Whenever they let me fight I will fight. Whenever I get the belt let it be and even if I don’t get the belt I will still be the champion without the belt.”

Khamzat Chimaev moved to UAE in hopes of Resolving his travel dilemma

Earlier this year, Chimaev’s jiu-jitsu coach Alan Nascimento revealed that the fighter was in fact encountering difficulties entering the United States and has since moved to the United Arab Emirates to try and mitigate his travel-related issues.

“[Chimaev] just got a 10-year visa in Abu Dhabi and will apply for a type of passport here in the UAE, something like a citizenship, that could be used for travels,” Nascimento told MMA Fighting. “Many Russian athletes are suffering with that. Chechens, Dagestani, Russians in general. But I think things will start to flow for Chimaev soon, and for other athletes too.”

“Sports save lives. To see athletes, people that have never committed any crimes and are just trying to live life in a positive manner and serve as example for the next generations, to pay the price and be unable to work because of problems caused by other people, I don’t think it’s fair. I don’t think it’s right. People might condemn what I’m saying, but what does an athlete have to do with a war started by two people that have nothing to do with sports?”

Taylor Swift's Influence Astonishes UFC Athlete After Presidential Election Endorsement Boost

Like it or not, Taylor Swift’s endorsement of current Vice President Kamala Harris could have major implications come election night in the United States.

Last week, ‘Tay-Tay’ made waves on social media when she announced that on November 5, she would be casting her vote for Harris shortly after the VP’s first debate with ex-POTUS Donald Trump was in the books.

Taylor Swift

“I will be casting my vote for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz in the 2024 Presidential Election,” she wrote in a lengthy post on Instagram. “I’m voting for @kamalaharris because she fights for the rights and causes I believe need a warrior to champion them. I think she is a steady-handed, gifted leader and I believe we can accomplish so much more in this country if we are led by calm and not chaos.”

Swift also posted a custom link to the vote.org website and encouraged her 284 million followers to register.

“I’ve done my research, and I’ve made my choice. Your research is all yours to do, and the choice is yours to make. I also want to say, especially to first time voters: Remember that in order to vote, you have to be registered! I also find it’s much easier to vote early,” she wrote in a corresponding Instagram story.

According to a report from CBS News, Swift’s endorsement has sparked a “400% or 500% increase” in voter registration with roughly 10,000 people per hour.

‘Action Man’ shocked by the influence of Taylor Swift

Getting wind of the report, middleweight star Chris Curtis was genuinely surprised by the influence that Swift appears to have over her fans.

“Huh… well f*ck,” Curtis wrote on X. “Lmao, I guess I genuinely underestimated the sheer power of Taylor Swift. Guys, that’s actually kind of terrifying.”

“I guess I’ve never had idols that influenced me on that level,” Curtis added while responding to fans online. “Like I honestly believe she could mobilize a small military force if she wanted to.”

Has the call to action from the 14-time Grammy Award winner influenced your decision to vote in the 2024 presidential election this fall?

Donald Trump Shooting: Justin Gaethje Responds to ‘Evil’ Criticism of Trump’s Golf Course Incident with Short Tweet

Justin Gaethje is not amused.

On Sunday, former U.S. President Donald Trump was the subject of another apparent assassination attempt while at his golf course in West Palm Beach, Florida. Ryan Wesley Routh, 58, was arrested as a suspect and charged with firearms offenses.

The incident comes two months removed from an attempt on the ex-POTUS’ life while he was speaking at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. Trump was grazed in the ear before being rushed off the stage by members of the Secret Service.

Needless to say, news of Trump’s second attempted assassination in as many months sparked a variety of responses from social media users. One that seems to be getting a lot of attention came from Rachel Vindman, the wife of former Lieutenant Colonel Alexander Vindman, who was the chief witness in the 2019 impeachment proceedings of Trump.

Vindman made light of the second attempt on Trump’s life, writing in a since-deleted post: “No ears were harmed. Carry on with your Sunday afternoon.”

Justin Gaethje Reacts to rachel vindman’s ‘evil’ comment

Unsurprisingly, those who lean towards the right side of the political spectrum were quick to condemn Vindman’s comments, including former BMF titleholder Justin Gaethje, who didn’t hold back in his response.

“Evil b*tch here,” Gaethje posted. “Wow.”

It’s been five months since fight fans saw Gaethje suffer a buzzer-beating knockout loss against Max Holloway at UFC 300, surrendering his BMF title in the process. Since then, Gaethje has compiled a list of four potential opponents for his return.

“I think Dustin Poirier, I beat him, he fought for a belt (and) there’s always those certain set of circumstances that can happen which will lead to (a title shot),” Gaethje told MMA Junkie and other reporters during a recent media scrum. “I think this fight with (Makhachev) and Tsarukyan is the next fight, then there’s kind of another opportunity for somebody like how Dustin Poirier stepped in. There’s not a clear contender.

“I have to fight and win then I’m right back in there. I have a list. I think (Dan) Hooker, (Charles) Oliveira, Poirier and (Alexander) Volkanovski is a list of four people that I think any of those would do for me what I need to do to get back in the picture.”

Presidential Candidate Donald Trump struggled to introduce Henry Cejudo at a recent rally. Cejudo, the son of illegal immigrants, has earned acclaim as a two-division UFC Champion and an Olympic Gold Medalist. During a rally, Trump tried and failed to say Cejudo’s name as he appeared to forget.

Son of immigrants, Henry Cejudo began his athletic career in wrestling, where he excelled in high school and went on to win numerous national and international titles, culminating in a gold medal at the 2008 Beijing Olympics in freestyle wrestling. He set a record for the youngest American wrestler to earn a gold medal in history.

Cejudo would then switch to MMA and pick up two world titles in the flyweight and bantamweight divisions. He then retired, then later came back. During his comeback, he has struggled to find success.

Henry Cejudo is the son of immigrants. His mother, Nelly Rico, was an illegal immigrant from Mexico, while his father, Jorge Cejudo, also had Mexican roots but struggled with addiction and abusive behavior. After his father’s deportation when Cejudo was six, his mother moved the family to Phoenix, Arizona, where she worked multiple jobs to support her seven children.

Taylor Swift Under Attack From Republicans, UFC Middleweight Doesn't Understand the Outrage: "Why would you be scared?"

Republicans are having a fit over Taylor Swift’s recent endorsement of Vice President Kamala Harris.

Supporters of three-time GOP nominee Donald Trump are furious after Swift, one of the biggest stars in the world, shared who she would be voting for come election night on November 5.

“I will be casting my vote for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz in the 2024 Presidential Election,” Swift said in a post on Instagram to her more than 283 million followers. “I’m voting for @kamalaharris  because she fights for the rights and causes I believe need a warrior to champion them. I think she is a steady-handed, gifted leader and I believe we can accomplish so much more in this country if we are led by calm and not chaos.”

Now, the 14-time Grammy-winning artist is facing backlash from the former president’s most staunch followers, including a slew of professional fighters who have condemned Travis Kelce’s better half for doing something they do daily on their various social media channels.

Chris Curtis doesn’t understand why people are so upset by Taylor Swift’s Message

Chiming in on all the manufactured drama, middleweight standout Chris Curtis expressed his confusion over the situation on X.

Chris Curtis on Taylor Swift endorsement

“I don’t understand the Taylor Swift rage. She pointed out the reason for her endorsement and encouraged people to look into the issues for themselves while providing resources to register to vote. Why would you be scared of people doing their own research on the issues? Weird…”

Truth be told, supporters of the right don’t necessarily want to encourage anyone to think for themselves or do any legitimate research via reputable sources. If Trump says people in the Midwest are eating cats and dogs, then that’s exactly what’s happening.

Or so they say.
