Dana White can’t get through a single interview without mentioning his friendship with former U.S. president Donald Trump—but he’s not political.
Despite endorsing Trump at the Republican National Convention and regularly hosting ’45’ at events in both New York and New Jersey, White has repeatedly claimed that he is not a political person, nor does he care who anyone ultimately votes for.
Still, that didn’t stop him from going in on current Vice President Kamala Harris who suddenly finds herself at the top of the liberal ticket following President Joe Biden’s withdrawal from the 2024 election.
“I don’t judge people by their politics and who they vote for or any of that stuff,” White said in an interview with CNN’s Laura Coates. “Listen, I don’t know Kamala. She seems like she’s a nice person. I have nothing against her whatsoever and, like I said, I’m not political, but do I think that she’s fit for the job? I do not, personally” (h/t BJPenn.com).
No matter what his or anyone’s political ideals are, White recognizes that the subject is a killjoy, and no matter who comes out on top, it’s going to be a long and nasty road to an election night that is sure to leave millions frustrated, one way or another.
“But either way, she’s going to say other nasty stuff about both of them. It goes both ways,” White added. “And as voters, what we need to do is cut through all the BS and you have to look at who do you think is best fit to run the country for the next four years. That is our job as voters. All of this stuff is a bunch of nasty BS.”
Election night in America will coincide with Dana White’s return to MSG in November
The 2024 Presidential Election is scheduled to go down on Tuesday, November 5. Though not officially announced, Dana White and Co. is expected to return to Madison Square Garden just four days later for UFC 309. If Trump once again wins the race to 270, it’s almost a foregone conclusion that he’ll make an appearance at the event to celebrate his victory.
And if he loses, he’ll probably show up anyway and try to kickstart another coup.

UFC CEO Dana White attended the Republican National Convention on Thursday in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to hype up Donald Trump ahead of the election.
White and Trump are known friends, as Trump has attended several UFC events. With Trump attending UFC events, White returned the favor as he attended the RNC convention and spoke about several topics, but also gave thanks to Trump for being his friend.
“I only wish you didn’t have to interrupt your family trip, but I hope they understand. They love you, and they know how important this is,” Dana White said via MMAJunkie, reading from a text message Trump sent him after he accepted the invitation. “Now think about this: This man’s running for president of the United States, he’s fighting for the future of this country, and he’s concerned about interrupting my family trip. That’s the President Trump that I know, a man who truly cares about people.
“The mainstream media likes the push the narrative that he doesn’t care about anyone but himself. I absolutely know that’s not the truth because I’ve been friends with this guy for 25 years.”
White also made it clear that Trump was the only choice to be the next President.
Dana White Explains Why He’s Voting for Trump
During his speech hyping up Donald Trump, Dana White said Trump is a true American leader and badass which is what everyone should want.
“I know President Trump is fighting to save the American dream, and that’s what’s at stake in this election… I know President Trump is a proven leader, a fearless leader, and this country was in a much better place when he was in the Oval Office,” White said. “In my mind, the choice is clear, but this election, we all get to choose. I know I’ going to choose strength and security. I know I’m going to choose opportunity and prosperity. I know I’m going to choose real American leadership and a real American badass.”
It shouldn’t be a surprise White attended the convention and heaped praise on his friend.

Stalwart UFC color-commenator, Joe Rogan has shared his reaction to the attempted assassination on former United States President, Donald Trump, questioning many aspects of the incident, and claiming it own furthers theories how society is actually in the midst of a “simulation”.
Earlier this month, former United States President, Trump was the target of an assassination attempt from shooter, Thomas Matthew Crooks during an election rally in Butler, Pennsylvania.
Joe Rogan claims Donald Trump assassination attempt points to a “simulation”
And coming in as the latest mixed martial arts star to voice their support for the former United States President, Rogan has claimed the incident only supports the theory of an ongoing “simulation” – all while mocking some aspects of the incident.
“How about the President? How about that (Donald) Trump fella?” Joe Rogan said on his podcast, The Joe Rogan Experience. “How crazy is this? If there’s ever been a real indiciation that we’re in a simulation, this season of USA is the craziest season that’s every existed. There’s so many twists and turns, so many plots, so many villains, so many incompetent, bumbling fools.”
“It seems like a script,” Joe Rogan explained. “[He] pumps his fist in the air and says ‘Figh, fight, fight.’ The Trump story is right out of a movie, I’m hoping it’s not a Stephen King movie… there’s so much of it that seems fake. The female secret service agent that can’t holster her weapon, moving around all erratically… it looks like an actress. It looks like if you’re going to have a bumbling person in a movie, almost like a comedy of errors about an assassination attempt on the President.”
“You want Secret Service, cool, calm, collected,” Rogan continued. “Swift, decisive movements – it almost seems like as this simulation gets further and further along, it gets more and more insane. We [almost] fell into chaos, and people think the (Joe) Biden administration had Trump killed. ANd how the f*ck does this 20-year-old kid climb on that roof, 150 yards away, and no one sees him… the whole thing stinks of either incompetence, or a design, or we’re in the Matrix… to watch the most bombastic, mainly of Presidents, to see him with two female bumbling secret service agents, to see that… the whole thing is bananas.”

UFC CEO, Dana White has tonight offered his support to former United States president, Donald Trump after the latter was the subject of an assassination attempt over the course of the weekend whilst taking part in an election rally in Pennsylvania.
Trump, a former United States President who is the presumptive Republican candidate this year in a bid to begin a second reign against the incumbent, Joe Biden, was the subject of an assassination attempt in Butler, Pennsylvania – after he was struck in his right ear by shooter, Thomas Matthew Crooks, who was subsequently shot and killed by a member of the Secret Server Counter Sniper team, after killing Corey Comperatore, a rally attendee.
“I’m on a plane right now flying to Italy and my phone has been blowing up with text messages from people informing me @realdonaldtrump was shot,” Dana White posted on Instagram. “I am absolutely sick to my stomach and in complete shock. I still don’t know how bad it is or if he’s okay. But @mickmaynard2 just sent me this picture and I’m praying President Trump is 100% healthy.”
Dana White offers support to Donald Trump once more
“This image perfectly reflects EXACTLY the man I know Donald Trump to be,” Dana White continued. “He is the toughest, most resilient, AMERICAN BAD ASS on this planet. I hope the weak coward that show him gets what he deserves, and I can’t WAIT to stand up on that stage with him on Thursday and introduce him at the Republican National Convention and tell the WORLD exactly the character of the friend and man I KNOW!!”
White, who is set to introduce Trump later this week at the Republican National Convention, has echoed those sentiments once more today whilst speaking on the Pat McAfee Show, claiming the former President was the “ultimate American badass”.
“He is one of the toughest, most resilient human beings I have ever met in my life,” White said. “And let me tell you what, everyone wants to act like a tough guy, well, when the sh*t goes down, you find out who tough guys are and who tough guys are not. This guy is the legitimate, ultimate American badass of all-time.”

Donald Trump, the 45th U.S. President and likely Republican nominee in the upcoming U.S. presidential election, is reportedly safe after being rushed off stage following an apparent assassination attempt at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania.
The Associated Press reports that Trump said “Oh” and grabbed at his ear when the shots first rang out, with the presumptive Republican nominee crouching down as two more shots were heard.
Trump was tackled on stage by agents, who were covering to protect him from the gunfire, as screams were heard throughout the thousands gathered for the rally. When Trump got back to his feet, he appeared to have blood on his face but pumped his fist as he was escorted off stage and away from the scene.
Spokesman Steven Cheung subsequently released the following statement.
“President Trump thanks law enforcement and first responders for their quick action during this heinous act. He is fine and is being checked out at a local medical facility. More details will follow.”
Multiple reports, citing Butler County District Attorney Richard Goldinger, state that a suspected gunman and at least one member of the rally’s audience were killed.
UFC Fighters & Personalities React To Apparent Trump Shooting
Trump and UFC CEO Dana White have had a long-standing loyalty and friendship to one another dating back to the UFC’s early days. When Zuffa purchased the promotion at the start of 2001, the first two events (UFC 30 and UFC 31) were held at the then-Trump Taj Mahal (now the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino) in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
White was a big supporter of Trump during the 2016 and 2020 elections and appeared to continue to be such with Trump being the presumptive Republican Party nominee for the 2024 election.
The Pennsylvania rally was the last Trump was holding prior to the start of the Republican National Convention that begins on July 15.
