Eddie Hall calls out Mariusz Pudzianowski for World's Strongest Man clash after insane 2v1 knockout win

After destroying his opponents in an insane 2v1 MMA fight, former World’s Strongest Man Eddie Hall is looking for something a little more traditional.

Making his mixed martial arts debut under the World Freak Fight League banner in Blackburn, England, Hall, absolutely obliterated social media influencers The Neffati Brothers. In the now-viral clip, Hall power-bombed one of the brothers before KO’ing him with a vicious right hand—all while fending off the other one.

After getting a taste for MMA, the 36-year-old strongman would love to throw hands with another former World’s Strongest Man, Mariusz Pudzianowski.

“I think someone like Mariusz Pudzianowski, he’s got 20 years experience in the game,” Hall said in a post-fight interview. “He’s still a big guy, still very strong and he is a hard bastard, there’s no denying that Mariusz Pudzianowski is very hard. I think the fans want to see a ‘World’s Strongest Man’ vs ‘World’s Strongest Man’, so there we go. If someone can bring the right deal to the table I know Mariusz is game, he’s always in my inbox sending me fighting emojis, so maybe this is it” (h/t MMA Fighting).

Pudzianowski is down for an MMA showdown with Eddie Hall

Hailing from Bia?a Rawska, Poland, Mariusz Pudzianowski is significantly more experienced inside the cage than Hall, having earned a 17-9 overall record while competing for KSW.

In a 2022 interview with the Daily Star Sport, Pudzianowski showed little interest in stepping inside the squared circle, but would happily accept a clash with either Hall or ex-Arnold Classic winner Thor Bjornsson in MMA.

“I’m not considering moving to boxing,” Pudzianowski said. “I have already focused on MMA and there will be no new challenge for me. MMA is probably the last challenge for me. But of course, with anyone – with Eddie or Bjornsson, I would enter the cage on the principles of MMA!”

In 2022, Eddie Hall first dipped his toe into the world of combat sports via a boxing match with Thor Bjornsson, best known by Game of Thrones fans as The Mountain. He lost the bout via unanimous decision after six rounds.

World's strongest man Eddie Hall destroys Neffati Brothers in insane 2-on-1 freakshow fight

Eddie Hall scored an absolutely brutal knockout during a bizarre 2-on-1 handicap match in the UK.

Hall stepped inside the cage at a World Freak Fight League event inside King George’s Hall in Blackburn on Friday night.

There, the hulking strongman tipped the scales at more than 365 pounds ahead of fight night, almost twice as much as the combined weight of his opponents, TikTok stars Jamil and Jamel, otherwise known as The Neffati Brothers.

The first round was relatively uneventful with the brothers running away the entire time. That continued in the second, prompting the crown to shower all three men with a chorus of boos.

However, things popped off in the third.

Deciding to try their luck against the big man, the brothers moved in on Hall and immediately paid the price. Hall quickly grabbed one of his opponents and deadlifted him into the air before power-bombing him back down to the canvas. As the brother bounced back up off the mat, Hall landed a vicious right hand, faceplanting him with 30 seconds to go while simultaneously fighting off a takedown attempt from the other brother.

That was all referees needed to see before stepping in and calling for the stoppage.

Eddie Hall’s Viral KO left a lasting effect

In a post-fight interview, the brother who took the nasty right hand revealed that he couldn’t remember anything following the highlight-reel KO.

“It must have been a good punch as I cannot remember anything,” he said. “People were shouting at me from the crowd and I shouted back you come and f****** him, see if you can do it!”

Eddie Hall previously fought Thor Bjornsson, best known by Game of Thrones fans as The Mountain, in a fight appropriately dubbed “the heaviest boxing match in history.” Bjornsson won the bout via unanimous decision.

Legendary strongman Eddie Hall learned what it feels like to take a kick to the face ahead of his mixed martial arts debut.

Hall, who is best known for his world-record-setting 1,100 lb deadlift in 2016 and for winning the 2017 World’s Strongest Man competition, is gearing up for an MMA bout with Mitchell Hooper, a Canadian strongman, and kinesiologist who secured first place at the 2023 World’s Strongest Man competition in Myrtle Beach.

The bout is expected to go down at Lusail Stadium in Qatar on February 17, 2024, under the Finishers Championship banner. Hall and Hooper’s bout will consist of three two-minute rounds.

“Get ready for the fight event you’ve been waiting for. Launching 2024,” their official Instagram reads. “Top MMA fighters settling the score on unfinished business. 12 match eliminator. $300 million USD prize money. Celebrities. Royalty.”

While training for his first foray in four-ounce gloves, Hall was spotted eating a nasty high kick that sent him crashing the canvas. The clip, which you can see below, comes courtesy of Oscar Willis of TheMACLife.

Eddie Hall Goes Toe-To-Toe with ‘The Mountain’

While his February clash with Hooper will be his first MMA fight, Eddie Hall has already stepped into the boxing ring.

In March 2022, ‘The Beast’ met Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson, best known by Game of Thrones fans as ‘The Mountain,’ in a titan weight boxing match in Dubai. Hall had some early success, knocking Björnsson to the canvas in the opening round, but ultimately came up short on the scorecards after Björnsson brutalized him in rounds three and six.

Eddie Hall is confident he’ll come out victorious as he responds to Joe Rogan’s critique of his fighting ability in brutally honest analysis.

UFC commentator Joe Rogan shared his thoughts on Hall’s boxing technique. It’s fair to say that the comedian and podcaster is not a fan of what he saw as he criticized his boxing abilities:

“That’s not good. Right away we’re seeing that we have a real problem,” Rogan said, after watching footage of the Englishman training.

“Yeah, this is terrible. He’s very rudimentary, but also you see that his body is very stiff.

“Looking at him sparring there, he’s just not moving so good… This is super stiff. He’s throwing these punches with his arms. These are arm punches, almost like he shouldn’t be hitting things.” (transcribed by GiveMeSport)

‘The Beast’ has responded to Rogan’s honest criticism defending his boxing ability as he said, “Look, people can speculate, they can make assumptions, they can guess, they can do whatever they want, but I’m knocking Thor out.

“There’s no doubt in my mind. So, people can say whatever they want,” Hall said.

“I take no offence to Joe Rogan’s comments. He’s an experienced guy, he knows what he’s talking about, but he doesn’t know the full picture. You look at a few clips, you can’t make assumptions from that. It doesn’t bother me in the slightest, it doesn’t put me off.”

Will Eddie Hall knock out ‘Thor’ Bjornsson?

Hall is scheduled to fight Hafþór ‘Thor’ Björnsson this weekend in what is dubbed to be “The Heaviest Boxing Match in History”. Both former World’s Strongest men have been hard at work to prepare for the upcoming boxing match as they sport a definitive new look.

Hall has lost about 40kg in preparation while ‘The Mountain’ leaned out by around 60kg. The pair almost came to blows at the face-off ahead of the bout in Dubai, UAE. The Englishman seems confident he’ll win in what he calls ‘The Desolation of Thor’.

Will Eddie Hall prove Joe Rogan wrong with a win over ‘Thor’?
