Fresh off his 32-second knockout over former UFC champion Tim Sylvia, Abe Wagner will return to Titan Fighting Championships to take on Aaron Rosa, MMA Fighting has learned.
Wagner, who competed on season 10 of The Ultimate Fighter, holds an 8-3 record after capturing wins in five of his last six fights.
In January, Wagner was set to face Todd Duffee until Duffee took another opportunity, and Sylvia stepped in to replace him. After an exchange against the fence, Wagner caught Sylvia with a right hand behind the ear. Wagner drove Sylvia backwards until drilling him with a pair of flush shots that put Sylvia down and caused the referee to stop the action.

Still self-deprecating despite a resume that boasts a UFC championship reign and New York Times bestseller status, Forrest Griffin readily admits that his recent win over Rich Franklin was no thing of beauty.
Griffin outpointed Franklin during the UFC 126 co-main event, using his size advantage to put Franklin on his back and work him over from the top position. For a guy who first gained his fame as a heart-on-his-sleeve brawler, it showed his continued maturity as a fighter, if not his willingness to risk losing for being a crowd-pleaser.
“It’s a win, and at that point I was thinking, ‘I’ll take anything I can get,'” Griffin told MMA Fighting in an exclusive interview.
The physical nature of MMA is such that despite a conservative game plan, Griffin did not emerge unscathed. The popular light-heavyweight broke his right foot during the bout, the second time he’s broken it in the last two years. He previously injured it in training for his Nov. 2009 bout with Tito Ortiz, but fought anyway and won.

A lingering neck injury has placed UFC veteran and The Ultimate Fighter 4 middleweight winner Travis Lutter‘s competitive future in jeopardy. Unable to compete, Lutter is branching out from operating his two MMA academies in Fort Worth, Texas to mining his 12-plus years of experience as an MMA fighter to write a book on helping aspiring MMA fighters get started in the business.
In this exclusive interview with the Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt, Lutter talks about his Beginner’s Guide to Getting Started in MMA book, the important steps a beginning fighter should take as well as the extent of his neck injury and competitive future.
Prior to their UFC 126 co-main event fight, Rich Franklin and opponent Forrest Griffin joked about the loser getting tattooed. At least it seemed like a joke.
But don’t ever say Rich Franklin isn’t a man of his word. True to his promise, Franklin — who lost the fight via unanimous decision — visited a tattoo shop on Friday to begin the process of getting inked.
“I don’t believe it,” Griffin told MMA Fighting. “We didn’t even shake hands on it. I definitely would not be getting it if I lost. I’d be like, ‘Yeah, yeah, of course,’ but then if I lost, you would have to knock me out to get me in that chair.”
