Since The Ultimate Fighter debuted in January of 2005, there has be 24 seasons aired on American television and 10 additional seasons airing on UFC Fight Pass from all around the world. Brazil, China, Australia, and more have all hosted the hit show. After 11 years and 34 total seasons, people are starting to lose interest. Claiming that the show is repetitive, boring, and the shows talent is diminishing. What people don’t see is how a stint on the show can change someone’s entire life. Even if they don’t win. That is exactly what it did for UFC Bantamweight and TUF: Latin America 2 contestant Marco “Psycho” Beltran.

Heading into The Ultimate Fighter Beltran was on a 3 fight losing streak. Struggling to find time for high quality training between school and work. TUF helped show him what real training was all about. “…In my case I was in school. In University. I had a work in the Government. Only at night could I train. That was really hard. Before The Ultimate Fighter show, ya I was a really good fighter in my country. When we came to the United States, ya know. They treat the MMA (like a job)…”

While some may believe the format is stale, the show is obviously still helping fighters develop into top talent. Riding his 3 fight win streak, Beltran focuses on former TUF foe Guido Cannetti at UFC Fight Night 98 in Mexico City, Mexico. Listen to the full interview below to hear his thoughts on the fight, what it’s like fighting in the Mexico City altitude, and how he plans to punish his opponent for talking trash.

The Nevada Athletic Commission (NAC) hearing of interim UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Jon Jones will not be going down this coming Monday as originally scheduled.

Executive director of the NAC, Bob Bennett, confirmed to MMAFighting.com on Wednesday that Jones’ team put in a formal request for a continuance on the hearing they had scheduled for October 10th.

Jones will be facing the NAC to determine the repercussions stemming from a test that came back positive for clomiphene and letrozol, two substances banned by UFC’s new Anti-Doping Policy overseen by USADA, prior to his originally scheduled UFC Light Heavyweight Championship unification match with Daniel Cormier at UFC 200 back in July.

Well, it looks like the rumors regarding a potential Women’s super fight between Ronda Rousey and Cristiane “Cyborg” Justino is about to pick back up.

UFC President Dana White appeared on the latest episode of the UFC Unfiltered podcast and spoke with hosts Matt Serra and Jim Norton about a potential Rousey-Cyborg showdown inside the Octagon.

Regarding the possibility of the fight finally taking place, White revealed that he spoke with the former UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion and she indicated to him that she would, in fact, like to fight the reigning Invicta FC Featherweight Champion.

“Ronda wants to fight her,” White said. “We’ll have to figure out at what weight to fight.”

The UFC boss continued, pointing out that “Rowdy” Ronda could take a potential fight with Cris “Cyborg” at a catch weight bout of 140 pounds, which is the weight Cyborg has competed at in both of her two appearances inside the Octagon.

“But Ronda wants that fight. … Ronda could do [1]40,” White added.

Additionally, White reiterated his previous statement regarding the lack of interest in creating and building a new Women’s Featherweight [145 pound] division around the reigning 145-pound champion of the all-women’s Invicta FC promotion.

“I don’t think so,” said White when asked if he would consider adding a 145-pound women’s division in the UFC. “I think, first of all, there aren’t enough 145-pound female fighters to start a 145-pound division. There just isn’t. You know? Cyborg is this one girl floating out there who had that type of star power. She headlined Brazil for us.”
