According to UFC President Dana White, it’s only a matter of time before UFC owners Lorenzo Fertitta and Frank Fertitta buy an NFL franchise.

White addressed the rumors about the Fertitta brothers buying the Oakland Raiders and moving the team to Las Vegas, Nevada, during his appearance on “The Jim Rome Show.”

“Here’s the thing — as you know you can’t own an NFL team if you’re involved with casinos. So if they were really making a serious move at the Raiders, they’d be selling Station Casinos not the UFC,” White said on Friday.

White continued, “But it is 100-percent a fact, they are hardcore football fans and I promise you one day the Fertitta brothers will own an NFL team. No doubt about it.”

You can read UFC’s official statement on the matter below.

“The UFC organization was notified today that the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) informed Carlos Diego Ferreira of a potential Anti-Doping Policy violation, stemming from a recent out-of-competition sample collection. In accordance with the UFC Anti-Doping Policy, Ferreira has received a provisional suspension, and has been removed from his scheduled bout against Abel Trujillo on May 29 in Las Vegas.

USADA, the independent administrator of the UFC Anti-Doping Policy, will handle the results management and appropriate adjudication of this case. UFC will announce a replacement opponent for Trujillo shortly, while additional violation information will be provided at the appropriate time as the process moves forward.”

Wanderlei Silva Admits He “Could Have Died” After Being Hit By A Car On His Bike

wanderlei-silva-2

Apparently MMA legend Wanderlei Silva’s recent bike accident was more serious than some may have thought.

“The Axe Murderer” took to social media this week to write about getting hit by a car while riding on his bike recently. He posted the following on his official Instagram page:

“I’m extreme in everything I do. Everybody says that bicycle was dangerous, and I believed that the right of coming and going was the same for everyone, cars, bikes and people, but I felt that it’s not exactly like that.

I suffered a serious accident [and] will have to undergo shoulder and left knee surgery. A man that saw [the accident] said ‘you were born again’, and the man that hit me didn’t stop to help! I’m really upset because I could have died. My helmet is broken, and I don’t know what would have happened if I weren’t using it.

I had severe injuries and don’t know what’s going to happen, but I believe in God and I know everything has a reason. I will do my best and let it be what God wants. I could have died if I weren’t using a helmet. That made me rethink my life and made me grow a lot. Live well because it’s over soon. God bless you — and if you’re riding a bike, use a helmet because we never know when we’re going to need it.”
