The very first pay-per-view event for Invicta Fighting Championships takes place this evening (Jan. 5, 2013) live from Memorial Hall in Kansas City, Kansas.

The live Invicta FC 4: Esparza vs. Hyatt pay-per-view kicks off at 7pm EST (4pm PST) with a thirteen bout card headlined by the crowning of the promotions first strawweight champion as Carla Esparza and Bec Hyatt square off for Invicta gold.

Fans can purchase the online ppv for $7.95 at www.ustream.tv/invictafc.

The entire event is being streamed live for free due to an issue with UStream, this according to Invicta FC officials on Twitter (@InvictaFights)

The official weigh-ins for the Invicta FC 4 event took place this afternoon at the Aladdin Holiday Inn Hotel Downtown in Kansas City, Kansas.

Twenty-six fighters stepped onto the scale for the promotions first pay-per-view event with just one fighter failing to make weight.

Strawweight title contenders Carla Esparza (114.8) and Bec Hyatt (115) were both on weight for their championship bout. While co-main event bantamweights Shayna Baszler (134.8) and Alexis Davis (135.8) were also on weight for their rematch.

Missing weight was featherweight prelim fighter Veronica Rothenhausier (146.6) who was 0.6-lbs over limit for her bout versus Katalina Malungahu (145.8).

The live Invicta FC 4 broadcast begins Saturday (Jan. 4, 2013) evening via pay-per-view from the Memorial Hall in Kansas City.
