Even upon losing a split decision in his last fight, Evan Dunham‘s stock managed to rise. Many people watching the UFC 119 fight against Sean Sherk thought he deserved the judges’ nod, and the UFC agreed, treating Dunham as though he was still unbeaten by giving him a main event slot on the upcoming UFC Fight for the Troops 2 event.

Dunham was supposed to meet Kenny Florian, but a knee injury knocked Florian from the bout, giving Melvin Guillard the welcome opportunity to prove he’s rounded into a fully matured fighter.

He was the victim of Todd Duffee’s record 7-second knockout at UFC 102 – which Hague says was merely a “freak of nature” occurrence. And a loss to Chris Tuchscherer at UFC 109 sent him packing.
