Former Bellator MMA middleweight, Joe ‘Stitch ’em Up’ Schilling has been involved in an altercation with a bar patron, in which he knocks out the man, in a video recorded over the course of last weekend.

In the below video, Schilling, who is filmed walking into the patron who is standing by the bar in the middle of a walk-way, before turning and confronting the man, who appears to make a lunge toward the kickboxer, before he is punched twice, resulting in a rather vicious knockout. As the video comes to an end, Schilling is seen walking away from the bar-goer, who is now on the ground, unconscious, as bystanders attend to him.

Schilling, 37, initially posted the video on his official Instagram account, before removing the footage of the altercation.

The Ohio native posted a follow-up on Instagram, reacting to his post’s deletion by the social media network, claiming that the United States isn’t about “self defence” anymore.

Self defence is apparently now what this country is about anymore,” Schilling posted. “Don’t trip I got the video love you guys thanks for the concern and support during my life-threatening experience. Big shout out to @theyardmuaythai for preparing me for this life-threatening situation. #f*ckracists.

In another post, this time a story on his official page, Schilling claimed he isn’t someone who will attempt to calm people down or de-escalate a situation; “if you think I’m going to be the guy to calm everything down, you got me f*cked up,” Schilling posted. “I’m here for the show.

At the time of publication, it’s currently unknown if Schilling, who is currently plying his trade with Sanford MMA in Deerfield, Florida has been arrested in relation to the altercation, or if charges have been pressed against the kickboxer.

Schilling holds a 23-9 professional kickboxing record, scoring victories over the likes of Chidi Njokuani, Artem Levin, Wayne Barrett, Jason Wilnis. The Ohio-born striker won the 2013 GLORY middleweight world championship tournament.

A 10-fight professional mixed martial arts veteran, Schilling holds a 4-6 record, competing six-times for the Scott Coker-led Bellator MMA banner.

R3 Fighting Championship Brawl

Have you ever heard of a post-fight brawl leading to a sanctioned fight later on the same card? Well, thanks to the R3 Fighting Championship, you have now.

Seriously, we can’t make this stuff up. R3 Fighting Championship, an amateur fighting promotion based in Moscow, recently streamed a 28-fight card. Midway through the event, a massive brawl broke out, which included members from both fight corners and members of the audience. Thanks to Twitter user Grabaka_Hitman, footage of the brawl can be seen below.

Once R3 Fighting Championship regained control of the cage, the event continued. However, later in the card, the two instigators of the brawl, the gentleman in the black shirt and the gentleman in the blue shirt enter the cage, ready to fight. It appears that in between the card’s original fights, the promotion decided to add another fight to the card featuring the brawl instigators.

As insane as it appears, this is real. Apparently, this is allowed in Russia as no one seems to be fazed at the turn of events. As we all know, no sanctioning body in the United States or the United Kingdom would permit this. Typically, in-cage brawls result in huge fines and lengthy suspensions, but that must not be the case in Russia.

The fight between the instigators was entertaining for the short time it lasted. Blue shirt instigator was able to secure a win via rear-naked choke in the first round.

If this is something that happens regularly in the East, no wonder members of Khabib Nurmagomedov’s camp thought it was ok to start a brawl after the former champ’s victory over Conor McGregor.

Do you think that Western promotions should allow members of fighter camps to engage in actual fights on the card to settle disputes?

Former UFC lightweight champion, Khabib Nurmagomedov has questioned Russian government officials, why cheap drugs have become prevalent in Dagestan — claiming he believes it’s coordinated to introduce narcotics to “break” the youth of the region.

Nurmagomedov, a former undisputed UFC lightweight champion, called time on his professional mixed martial arts career back in October of last year on ‘Fight Island’ — immediately following a second round triangle win against then-interim lightweight champion, Justin Gaethje, successfully unifying the championships.

Despite much speculation regarding his fighting future, as well as numerous transparent bids from UFC president, Dana White to entice the 29-0 back to active competition, Nurmagomedov was officially removed from the lightweight rankings earlier this year, before vacating his championship — which is now currently held by Brazilian grappler, Charles Oliveira.

In the time since, Nurmagomedov has launched his own professional mixed martial arts promotion, Eagle FC — and ahead of the organization’s 37. event — the 32-year-old spoke with media assembled at a press event.

When questioned by Nedelva Sporta reporter, Timur Tilman during his appearance at the press conference in Kazakhstan, Nurmagomedov was asked for some words of guidance to young people who are suffering from substance abuse issues, before himself questioning why cheap drugs from Russia have found their way into society in Dagestan so prevalently.

How can there be young people at the country’s largest economic forum?” Khabib asked the reporter when probed for his thoughts on claims that cleaners found drug residue in toilets at an economic forum in Russia. “Young people don’t go (to the forum), it’s just people in power. What do the toilets in the economic forum have to do with it?” Khabib responded when asked for his advice to young people.

So other toilets have drug residue too?” Khabib asked. “You could’ve mentioned school toilets. It’s (drugs) a real problem, especially here in Dagestan. I don’t know how or why it happened — why Russia’s cheapest drugs ended up in Dagestan. I think it’s the work of very coordinated people. They introduce these drugs: weed, pills, salts into certain regions to break the youth there.

Nurmagomedov then explained how he believes the issue with drug and substance abuse in Dagestan needs to begin with the government of Russia.

I think the fight has to start with the government,” Khabib said. “If they want to, they can end it (the drug problem) in a day. They’re good at collecting taxes, right? But they can’t stop the flow of drugs?

Someone comes, leaves a package, and young people go find it,” Khabib continued. “That’s all done on the internet — they order drugs in one place, then go find them and use them. I think, first of all, the government has to tighten their controls. Secondly, parents have to watch their kids to ensure total control at home. Only after that, people like me who have a large following should tell kids what’s right and wrong. It’s not something that can be fixed with one message. This should be handled at the government level. There should be less cocaine in the economic forum toilets because they’re the ones ruling the country.
