Grappling standout, Mickey Gall has turned in his fifth successful submission victory under the UFC’s banner — stopping prospect, Jordan Williams with an expertly applied rear-naked choke in the opening round of their UFC Vegas 32 preliminary clash.

Gall, a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt under David Adiv improves to 7-3 professionally with his first round stoppage win over Williams, following a unanimous decision defeat to Mike Perry at UFC Vegas 4 in June of last year.

The 29-year-old New Jersey native managed to grab Williams’ attention early with a stinging and stumbling right-hand shot, before attempting to wrap up a high-elbow guillotine attempt early.

Taking Williams’ back during a seated scramble later in the round, Gall patiently hand fought before eventually finding his way under the latter’s neck and prying him back to the canvas forcing the stoppage from referee, Herb Dean.

The stoppage win comes as Gall’s fifth submission success in the UFC following prior rear-naked choke triumphs against Mike Jackson, CM Punk, Sage Northcutt, and George Sullivan.

Former UFC bantamweight challenger, Sijara Eubanks has landed back at the flyweight limit with a victory — stopping promotional newcomer, Elise Reed with a series of flurrying ground strikes in the opening round of their UFC Vegas 32 preliminary bout.

Eubanks, a contestant on The Ultimate Fighter 26 back in 2017 — returned to the flyweight limit for the first time since November of 2018 at UFC 230 where she scored a unanimous decision win over veteran division mainstay, Roxanne Modafferi.

Immediately imposing her will and sheer size advantage inside the Octagon, the Massachusetts native secured an early takedown against Reed before unloading with a series of ground strikes.

With just over a minute and change remaining in the opening round, the 36-year-old forced referee, Mark Smith to call a halt to proceedings as she winged at Reed with multiple hooks having sliced and blackened the latter’s right eye with elbows earlier in the round.

Dustin Poirier has scored a first round doctor’s stoppage victory over Conor McGregor — who suffered a leg injury at the closing stages of the opening round, after Poirier claimed a prior checked leg kick resulted in an apparent leg break suffered by the Dubliner.

McGregor opens the first round with a multitude of calf kicks of his own, as well as incorporating a couple spinning back kicks to the body. With Poirier responding with some good counters, McGregor clinched and attempted to set up a guillotine.

Surviving the attempt, Poirier began raining down with ground strikes as McGregor landed elbows from the bottom.

As the two return to the feet from the exchanges on the bottom, McGregor fell back onto his own left leg, resulting in a horrific leg injury — subsequently ending the bout.

Countering Russian contender, Kunitskaya with a massive, perfectly-placed check left hook, Aldana dropped the American Top Team trainee, before swarming with some well-landed ground shots afterward.

Patiently assuming guard before landing a slicing elbow, Aldana forced Kunitskaya to belly-out before unloading with a barrage from the top, forcing referee, Jason Herzog to stop the bout. The victory for Aldana comes as her first since a knockout stoppage over the then-undefeated, Ketlen Vieira at UFC 244 in November 2019.
