With a win over Nelson Santos would become the number one contender and face the winner of Brock Lesnar vs. Cain Velasquez. If Santos keeps on his feet, this could be a quick fight.

Roy “Big Country” Nelson has shown that he can hang with the best MMA fighters in the world, and he’ll have to be on top of his game to derail the striking train that is Junior Dos Santos. The two heavyweight fighters are set to hook up on on August 7, 2010 at the Oracle Arena in Oakland, California, United States as part of UFC 117: Silva Vs. Sonnen. The winner of this bout will be the next contender for the heavyweight belt currently held by Brock Lesnar, who will contest Cain Velasquez at UFC 121 for the championship.
