High level welterweight fighter(consensus number 2 welterweight in the world) Jon Fitch has defeated Thiago Alves once before but he expects a “brand new” version of the Brazillian to appear at UFC 117. Fitch has defeated all fighters in the UFC he’s faced, with the notable exception of UFC welterweight champion Georges St. Pierre but his style of fighting has left him few fans, and it seems that even UFC brass don’t want Fitch having another chance at the title. A win over Alves will certainly move him up the ladder, and make Fitch’s future title aspirations much more solid.
