The UFC Lightweight now famous around the world for calling out the President and subsequently being paid a visit from the Secret Service appeared as a guest last night on Fox Business. Jacob Volkmann was asked several questions about his salary as a fighter then asked the reasons he is not in favor of Obama Care. Volkmann reveals he doesn’t care for the time consuming paperwork involved with the health care policy. The host goes on to press him further about the meager $60,000 he made as an MMA fighter last year and was curious as to why he would want to get his face bashed in for so little. He then assumes Volkmann made more as a Chiropractor, but we learn that he only made $17,000 from his chiropractic business last year and that was before his business expenses. The 6 minute interview is almost uncomfortable to watch, but very interesting, so we have it for you below:

*UPDATE: MMAWeekly reports, Jacob Volkmann was placed on administrative leave as Assistant Head Coach of the Wrestling Program at White Bear Lake Highschool (one of the several jobs Volkmann holds, as mentioned in the Fox Business video). Volkmann told MMAWeekly:

“They put me on administrative leave they called it. They said I was representing the school in a bad way, and during the interview I mentioned the President is an idiot. They were a little upset about that. They’re actually reviewing it and they’ve got a case on it. They’re doing a report on it. No timeframe, she said she was going to give me a call, she had to talk to the superintedent first and she had to talk to the school board.”

Volkmann went on to say that the UFC is not upset and is with him on this one. He will appear this Thursday on Inside Edition.

Yesterday, MMAWeekly reported that UFC Lightweight, Jacob Volkmann received a visit from the Secret Service who were investigating a threat from Volkmann when he called out President Obama during an interview with Ariel Helwani.  Volkmann said, “Someone’s got to knock some sense into that idiot.” See video below:

We at MMAFix are all for protecting the president, but find it somewhat silly that tax dollars were wasted on this investigation (apparently at the fault of some dumb lady). Volkmann told MMAWeekly.com:

“This guy had the whole interview on a piece of paper and it had my picture and everything. He was like ‘is this what you said?’ and I said, ‘yes it is.’ He’s like ‘I want to let you know I’m a little embarrassed for coming here and doing this because obviously nothing happened.’ He actually apologized for coming, but he had to come. He wanted to make sure I wasn’t going to D.C to hurt the President… The thing is, I got home and I checked my e-mail and I had about 20 e-mails and one of them, one of [the] ladies had actually contacted the FBI and the Secret Service, and she was telling me that she was going to do it.”

We also wonder where this “lady” was when War Machine made his infamous comment regarding President Obama via MySpace: “I hope someone smokes that f#$@er…”

We guess hoping for someone to kill the President is not as threatening as saying you’d like to fight him in the Octagon if Joe Silva could make that happen.
