Former UFC light-heavyweight champion Jon Jones has once again come in to trouble with the law, and again it’s involving a situation with ‘Bones’ behind the wheel. This time it was his alleged drag racing in the streets of New Mexico that got Jones mixed up with the police, and the subsequent explicit video that was released shows quite an immature side to the ex-champ. He’s remained in the jail house since turning himself in on Tuesday, after a judge issued a warrant for his arrest.
The warrant came as Jones had broken the terms of his probation, an 18 month restriction that the troubled fighter was hit with following last year’s hit-and-run fiasco. The 28-year old New York born Jones was also stripped of his title for the offense, and this all came after the leaked results of a failed OOC (out-of-competition) drug test for cocaine. In between all this madness Jones did manage to pull off a decision victory over Daniel Cormier at UFC 182.
Jones’ hearing was set for this morning (Thursday March 31, 2016) and the district attorney had recommended some anger management classes and a 10am-4pm curfew for Jones, unless he had to go out for work purposes. The scheduled bout with Daniel Cormier remains intact thus far for UFC 197, but this Jones in trouble thing is simply a broken record at this point.
The results of Jones’ hearing came in courtesy of Marc Raimondi on Twitter:
Jon Jones must attend anger management and driver improvement courses. No curfew. Must get probation officer’s approval to drive.

What do you think, is the decision too soft? Does it simply open the door to ‘Bones’ getting in trouble once again? Only time will tell, but let’s just pray he makes it to UFC 197 to rematch Daniel Cormier for that belt!
