Mixed martial arts has always been a sport full of interesting and entertaining showmen. Last night in Strikeforce’s Overeem vs. Werdum fight card, we got a chance to see one of those personalities shine when one of the sport’s all-time legends, Josh Barnett, defeated Brett Rogers in the quarterfinals of the Strikeforce Heavyweight Grand Prix tournament.

Barnett owned the fight from the opening bell to the final stoppage, but it was his antics after the fight that may be remembered most by some fans.

While most fighters just stand in the cage after their fights and uncomfortably respond to usually-pointless questions from the person interviewing them, Josh Barnett snatched the microphone from Gus Johnson and began to cut a pro wrestling-like promo.

It was an entertaining finish to an already impressive performance in the cage for the “Baby-faced Assassin.”

But Barnett isn’t alone as being one of the best showmen in the sport. Here are 15 of the best showmen in mixed martial arts today.

MMA Video: Urijah Faber and Jon Jones Working Together on Their Dance Moves?

With one thinking how important foot-work is when is comes to professional fighting, it is always good to see two of the best fighters on the planet working together to perfect it.

Some fighters just do not have the timing and some do not have the rhythm. Fighters work diligently on foot-work, focusing on their striking and all-around movement.

Sounds great in theory, but when Urijah Faber and Jon Jones got together, they decided to work on a different kind of foot-work and focused on either helping each other with their dance moves, or trying to one-up each other.

Anyways, it’s good to see some people having fun while having no shame in how they look to the majority of people that view this.

In one corner you have “The California Kid” Urijah Faber, who is probably the best Featherweight in mixed martial arts history.

In the other corner you have Jon “Bones” Jones, the up-and-comer who climbed quickly through the ranks of the Light Heavyweight division to capture the championship and is being compared to the best the sport has ever seen.

So forget pound for pound rankings and debating who is the best ever. The dream match is here and now. Two of the best in the UFC and maybe of all-time.

So here is your chance to be the judge. Who wins in this duel between UFC greats?

At UFC 132, Wanderlei “The Axe Murderer” Silva will step back into the Octagon after being away from the cage for well over a year.

Fans everywhere are saying the same thing: It’s about damn time.

Silva is not the most relevant fighter these days. He has won only two fights in the past five years. However, one thing about him has never changed and that is he always puts on a show for the fans.

In honor of “The Axe Murderer’s” return to the UFC, we at BR thought it would be fun to take a look at the most aggressive fighters in MMA.

For a fighter to qualify for this list, they needn’t be an all-time great. They don’t even need to be particularly good, just aggressive.

This list is reserved for fighters that are always moving forward, always pushing the pace and never letting their opponents rest.

Jones vs. Rampage Agreed for UFC 135 in Denver; Two Heavyweight Bouts Also Added

(Quinton Jackson warily high-fives Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban at the 1st Annual Pornstar Ball in Las Vegas, back in 2009. Seriously.)

The UFC announced yesterday that light-heavyweight champion Jon Jones and former champ Quinton “Rampage” Jackson have agreed to square off at UFC 135, September 24th at the Pepsi Center in Denver. It will be Jones’s first title defense, after winning the belt from Mauricio Rua in March. Meanwhile, Jackson is riding back-to-back decision wins over Lyoto Machida and Matt Hamill. It may not pack the kind of grudge-match heat that Jones vs. Rashad would have had, but at least Jones and Jackson disagree on the motorboating issue. So, anybody think Rampage actually has a chance against the young phenom?

A pair of heavyweight scraps have also been reportedly added to the event…

Travis Browne vs. Rob Broughton. Not exactly a step up for Browne, who’s coming off his dramatic knockout of Stefan Struve at UFC 130. Still, Broughton is on a five-fight win streak and won his UFC debut last October by choking out Vinicius Queiroz at UFC 120.

Mark Hunt vs. Ben Rothwell. Hunt snapped a six-fight losing streak when he knocked out Chris Tuchscherer at UFC 127 in February. Rothwell is coming off a decision win over Gilbert Yvel last June, but hasn’t been active since then due to knee surgery.

UFC 135 will also feature Matt Hughes vs. Diego Sanchez, and Norifumi “Kid” Yamamoto’s return against Damacio Page.

Greg Jackson Talks Strategy and Upcoming Georges St-Pierre vs. Nick Diaz Bout

Bleacher Report’s Mike Hodges:

Georges St-Pierre’s next opponent may very well pose as a potential threat to his title, as the champion will look defend his UFC welterweight title against challenger, Nick Diaz, at UFC 137

St-Pierre, who will be making his seventh title defense against Diaz, is well-aware of what his opponent brings to the Octagon, and so does his coach, Greg Jackson.

In an interview conducted by LowKick.com, Jackson commented on the abilities of Diaz and he believes the Strikeforce welterweight champion will provide a challenge for St-Pierre.

“Nick Diaz is an incredibly tough fighter,” Jackson said.

“It’s gonna be a real challenge for Georges (St-Pierre) to be able to overcome all the tools that Nick Diaz brings.”

Since being cut by the UFC in 2006, Diaz competed in multiple organizations before being acquired by Strikeforce in 2009, that has seen him go on a 10-fight win streak, along with capturing the organization’s welterweight crown. Diaz has been outspoken in the past, considering himself as the top welterweight in the world, while calling out the Saint-Isidore, Que. native.

Nate Marquardt Would Go Back to Middleweight to Fight Michael Bisping

Bleacher Report’s Jeffrey McKinney:

Although Nate Marquardt may make his move to 170 a permanent one, a fight with Michael Bisping could make him move back to middleweight.

Marquardt told MMA Junkie Radio that although he felt he could be champion at middleweight, his natural weight is 170 lbs.

“I feel like I could hold the title at 185 lbs, but for me, it’s more of a natural weight to fight at 170,” Marquardt said. “If I ever did go back to 185, I wouldn’t put on extra weight on purpose. I have more energy for practices. I just feel better.”

Bisping was called out by many fighters including Marquardt, after his fight with Jorge Rivera.
