The Australian-born MMA fighter Megan Anderson had some choice words for some people she had previously worked with. Anderson has not competed actively since her stiff loss to ‘The Lioness’ Amanda Nunes in early 2021.
Last night on Twitter, the Australian athlete accused her former trainer, James Krause at Glory MMA, of not coaching her during the leadup to that UFC title fight. She said:
“If you’re telling me that just 1 x 30 mins pad session a week is enough for a world title fight against the greatest female fighter of all time is enough coaching then you’re delusional.”
James Krause trained Jeff Molina, UFC flyweight, fired back explaining that Anderson is spreading falsities. Molina explained that she was offered more training time but turned it down and was frequently drunk. He explained fully here:
“Take some accountability for yourself. You lost that fight the second you signed the dotted line- look in the mirror that’s why you lost that fight.”
Laura Sanko caught in the crossfire of Megan Anderson
UFC analyst Laura Sanko used to work alongside Megan Anderson on a show together. In an odd turn of events, Anderson was accused of sleeping with her coach James Krause. Anderson answered this accusation by levying the same charge at Laura Sanko. On Twitter, someone commented:
Laura Sanko is breaking barriers as a UFC commentator. There are many moving parts that go into a UFC production. From the athletes to the commentators, to all the people behind the scenes, it all works perfectly in order. For the UFC Contender Series,…

Former interim UFC welterweight champion, Colby Covington certainly left UFC reporter and commentator, Laura Sanko lost for words during his post-fight interview following UFC 272 – as he lodged another personal barb at former teammate, Dustin Poirier.
Headlining last Saturday’s event, Covington, the #1 ranked welterweight contender in the official UFC rankings, rebounded to the winner’s enclosure with a one-sided unanimous decision win over former American Top Team teammate, Jorge Masvidal in the pair’s tense grudge match.
Landing an impressive six separate takedowns against the Miami native over the course of their five round main event, Covington also outlander the Floridian in the striking department as well – in a largely concise and dominant win for the outspoken Covington.
Colby Covington has issued several insults and personal attacks toward Dustin Poirier in the past
During his post-fight interview with the returning UFC color commentator, Joe Rogan, Covington immediately took aim in the direction of another past Coconut Creek teammate, the aforenoted one-time interim lightweight titleholder, Poirier, calling for a pairing with him next.
And during his post-fight media obligations, Covington spoke with the above mentioned, Sanko – soon leaving her speechless with a particularly personal attack on Poirier and his wife, Jolie Poirier.
“He’s (Dustin Poirier) got all these stipulations, I only got one stipulation, let the whole world watch,” Colby Covington said. “It doesn’t have to be in an Octagon we can go to a park we can do it. Let the whole world watch it and them enjoy themselves, kind of like what Dustin does when Conor (McGregor) is in bed with his (Poirier’s) wife (Jolie Poirier).”
Covington’s barbs stem from claims from former two-weight champion, McGregor ahead of his UFC 264 trilogy rubber match with Poirier last summer, where he claimed that Jolie had been sending him direct messages, using that barb both post and pre-fight to attempt to get under the skin of Poirier.
“I’ll never fight Colby (Covington) in an Octagon where there’s finances on the line,” Dustin Poirier said. “If I fight Colby, we’re both going to jail – I’m going to jail. You will never see me fight Colby Covington in the UFC.”

UFC Broadcaster and commentator Laura Sanko was interviewed by MiddleEasy about a variety of topics this past week, most notably maybe was the Joe Rogan part, where she delved into him and the slippery slope that is cancel culture.
Rogan has been under fire after a video compilation came out last week of him using the N-Word and has since apologized.
“It’s a difficult question on many levels because I think first and foremost, it’s important to – for me, at least – that I’m not allowed to have an opinion about what other people should be offended about when the offense has nothing to do with me, or my life, or my situation,” Sanko said. “So I want to make very clear that in support of Joe Rogan, I absolutely would not be supporting the things that he said.
Sanko admitted the video was not good and a bad look for the biggest podcaster in the world, but added that cancel culture is a slippery slope and can be a dangerous game.
“That compilation video is awful. But I guess my entire opinion on the situation is formed on the fact that Joe Rogan thinks it’s awful. It’s not as if Joe Rogan came out and made a ton of excuses or said that he stands by those comments or those things that were said. He came out and made a – I felt like – very heartfelt, genuine apology, not only on that topic, but of course, the previous topic about the COVID-19 podcasts he had done …”
“I think cancel culture in general is a very dangerous, slippery slope because the end game of cancel culture is not feasible,” she said. “We would all love to be able to cut all hatred, all misinformation, all negativity out of the world and have everyone live in a place where we all feel uplifted and positive. But it’s impossible to do that.
Sanko said she thinks the people who think Rogan should be shut down entirely are misguided.
“And I think when you take someone who has done something horribly offensive, and they apologize, and you still stay, ‘No, no – you should be silenced from here on out,’ you take away all opportunity for growth and healing and reconciliation. And that, I feel like, is, more than anything, what’s missing in the world right now. … I think in terms of the idea of canceling people who, in the past, have done offensive things,” Sanko added. “I sure wouldn’t want to be judged by my worst day in the office; I don’t think anybody would – to provide people an opportunity to say, ‘I was wrong,’ or ‘I will do better,’ and allow them the chance to do that, allow them the chance to be better, allow them the chance to never make that wrong decision again, I think that’s what’s important.
“… I think Joe is a good person. I genuinely do. And I think Joe overall has very, very good intentions in terms of the information he brings forward and the way that he treats people and every personal interaction with him I’ve ever had has been 100 percent positive. But I think more than anything, he’s aware that what he did and said was not right, and he’s apologized for it, and I think we should take him at his apology and judge him on his actions here on out.” (Transcribed by MMA Junkie)

Laura Sanko is slowly becoming a household name in the world of mixed martial arts (MMA), but she is only aiming higher.
Sanko currently serves as a reporter for the UFC as she interviews fighters (mainly on Dana White’s Contender Series), does social media work and provides information on the commentary booth during walkouts on occasion.
However, the former MMA fighter is looking to make the latter a more permanent fixture as her long-term goal is to become the promotion’s first female color commentator.
“My dream would be to eventually be part of that booth,” Sanko told MMA Junkie. “One of the things that’s kind of allowed me to succeed in this job despite no broadcasting training whatsoever, is I do really understand the fight game. Over the years, I feel like behind the scenes, in production meeting and even just hanging out, I’ve been able to kind of demonstrate to all of the guys, whether it’s Paul (Felder) or Dominick (Cruz) or (Michael) Bisping, that I really do what the hell I’m talking about. My hope is that one day I can have a little bit, even more of a voice there. But any amount of time I can spend there talking to those guys is pretty awesome.”
Of course, there is plenty of competition if Sanko is to get that role.
And while she doesn’t plan on achieving it anytime soon, it is certainly something she aspires to do in the future.
“I would love that,” Sanko said. “That is definitely a goal. I don’t think it’s one that’s necessarily going to happen anytime soon, but it’s one I’m working toward and I hope one day to make that come to fruition. It’s tough, though. The hurdles that are in my way are not necessarily one people would assume, like, ‘Oh, they don’t want a woman.’ That’s not the case. I think they really like to have former UFC fighters there and I think they really like to have higher profile UFC fighters there, so that’s one thing that doesn’t happen on my resume.
“I like to think that over my years with the UFC, with Contender Series I’ve shown my fight knowledge over the interviews I do. I can tell that over time people have started to realize I do really understand the game and can provide on the spot analysis of what’s happening in a fight.”
