Jon Jones reacted on social media after Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James received an elbow to the head from DeMarcus Cousins.
James was driving to the basket in the second quarter against the Houston Rockets this past weekend only for Cousins to land an elbow on his head which dropped the former to the ground.
Cousins appeared to be aiming for the ball but after a review, officials deemed it a flagrant foul and he was ejected for the rest of the game.
And Jones reacted to the foul on Instagram soon after.
“Wishing King James a speedy recovery ”
Jones, of course, is no stranger to throwing elbows as he has become widely associated with elbow strikes in the UFC along with a few other names such as Tony Ferguson and Yair Rodriguez.
The use of the elbow is probably the reason why Jones notably wished James well and used a laughing emoji too. Or perhaps he thought James was taking a dive?
Luckily, nothing serious happened to James as he was able to continue for the rest of the game as the Lakers ended up coming out on top after a 120-102 win over the Rockets.

One-time UFC welterweight title challenger Colby Covington has addressed the “delusional fools” who don’t think he can beat NBA superstar LeBron James in an MMA fight.
Covington restarted what has become the most unlikely beef of 2020 back up earlier this week. ‘Chaos’ addressed former NBA player Nate Robinson getting knocked out by YouTuber Jake Paul on the undercard of Mike Tyson vs. Roy Jones Jr. Covington suggested the same fate awaits James while taking a dig at the entire NBA roster, he wrote.
“Heard they finally scraped @nate_robinson’s carcass off the @staplescenter floor. I’d make @kingjames eat the canvas in half the amount of time. Everyone knows current @NBA players are the softest most privileged athletes on the planet. #TysonJones #Facts”
Covington has since taken to Instagram to again publicize his quotes on Nate Robinson and mock people who don’t believe he’d do serious damage to James.
“Same people who doubt this wear masks in the car by themselves and believe lifelong political slime China Joe set the record for all time votes when he couldn’t even get a dozen people to show up in a parking lot. Delusional fools.”
Do you think Colby Covington is right? Is it foolish to think LeBron James would stand a chance against him?
Former interim UFC welterweight champion, the polarizing Colby ‘Chaos’ Covington has continued his recent tirade against L.A. Lakers superstar, LeBron James, as well as firing shots at the entire NBA league. Former interim UFC welterweight champion, the polarizing Colby ‘Chaos’ Covington has continued his recent tirade against L.A. Lakers superstar, LeBron James, as well as firing shots at the entire NBA league.
Last featured in the Octagon opposite former division champion and arch-rival, Tyron ‘The Chosen One’ Woodley, a wrestling heavy approach seen Covington run away with the matchup until a rib injury to the St. Louis native ultimately handed Covington a win before the judge’s scorecards were required.
Immediately afterwards in his post-fight interview with UFC commentator, Jon Anik, where he fired barbs at Lakers power forward, James, as well as current welterweight titleholder and one-time opponent, Kamaru ‘The Nigerian Nightmare’ Usman.
“Jon Anik, let me start off by saying, you’ve been doing a tremendous job lately,” Covington said. “You’ve been working so hard tonight, so let me take this off your hands for a minute. Ladies and gentlement, the silent majority is ready to make some noise. If you thought that was a beating, wait till November 3rd. when Donald Trump gets his hands on ‘Sleepy Joe’ (Joe Bidan). That’s gonna be a landslide.“
“I wanna dedicate this fight, to all the first responders, all the military out there, you know this world would not be safe without you guys, you know, you keep us safe – not these woke athletes, I’m sick of these woke athletes. These spineless cowards like LeBron James. And speaking of spineless fake cowards, ‘Marty Fakenews Man’ (Kamaru Usman), ‘Street Judas’ (Jorge Masvidal), we got unfinished business, there’s nowhere to run and there’s nowhere to hide. I’m coming for you, you’re next.“

Middleweight contender Darren Till has offered his thoughts about the ongoing Colby Covington vs. LeBron James debate.
“I wanna dedicate this fight, to all the first responders, all the military out there, you know this world would not be safe without you guys, you know, you keep us safe – not these woke athletes, I’m sick of these woke athletes. These spineless cowards like LeBron James,” Covington said.
James fired back the following day and seemed to suggest that world-class fighter Covington would be scared if confronted by him, he said.
“Anybody can talk from outside but if they got into the ring or got into the arena, probably 10 times out of 10, they’d sh*t their pants.”
“LOL at the snowflakes that believe @KingJames could even last 10 seconds with me! If that coward had the balls or the ability to kick anyone’s ass, Delonte West would’ve lost his teeth long before his meth habit!”
‘The Gorilla’ has backed his fellow UFC fighter in this particular battle in typical Darren Till fashion.
“Please tell me I have not just seen a video of lebron saying Colby would shit his pants in the ring with him? Colby may be an arsehole, in fact a funny arsehole cos so many peoples love getting offended. But Colby Covington would tear lebron James a new arsehole then rawdog him,” Till wrote on social media.
Till is currently heeling up after suffering a knee injury in his decision defeat against Robert Whittaker in July. The Englishman is booked to headline alongside fellow middleweight contender Jack Hermansson on December 5.
Do you agree with Darren Till on the matter of Colby Covington vs. LeBron James?

James has since hit back at Covington and even insinuated the world-class MMA fighter would be scared if confronted by him.
“Anybody can talk from outside but if they got into the ring or got into the arena, probably 10 times out of 10, they’d sh*t their pants.”
Covington has since took to social media to fire back at James and his army of fans, he wrote.
“LOL at the snowflakes that believe @KingJames could even last 10 seconds with me! If that coward had the balls or the ability to kick anyone’s ass, Delonte West would’ve lost his teeth long before his meth habit!”
Do you think UFC fighter Colby Covington would need more or less than ten seconds to deal with basketball star LeBron James?
