Marvin Vettori believes he will be the number one contender at middleweight after his UFC on ABC 2 main event fight against Kevin Holland. Originally, Vettori was set to fight Darren Till in what would’ve been a crucial fight for the division. The winner could’ve gotten a title shot or been a win away. Yet, […]
Darren Till has had enough of Marvin Vettori questioning his injury. ‘The Gorilla’ was supposed to headline alongside Vettori on UFC on ABC 2 this weekend. Unfortunately, Till was forced out of the bout due to a broken collarbone. ‘The Italian Dream’ is now set to fight Kevin Holland on Saturday. In the build-up to […]
Darren Till has had enough of Marvin Vettori questioning his injury.
‘The Gorilla’ was supposed to headline alongside Vettori on UFC on ABC 2 this weekend.
‘The Italian Dream’ is now set to fight Kevin Holland on Saturday.
In the build-up to that fight he has publicly called Till’s injury “suspicious.”
Till took to social media earlier today to blast Vettori, he wrote.
“Whats up with you mate? You missing a few cells or something? If only you fucking knew what I went through this camp to get 2 fight you. Inside & outside the gym! Let’s have it right mate you were going to be my easiest fight, You are a walking punch bag who’s tough. Nothing more & nothing less. So keep ur bitter mouth shut. For you or anyone to even think for one minute I’d pull out of a fight with some bullshit excuse makes me howl. And ur not from Italy uve lived in California most of ur life u lying bastard I’ll tag u in my x-ray so u can sleep easy tonight.”
Do you think Darren Till is right to be angry with Marvin Vettori who has been speculating about his injury?
Marvin Vettori has one eye on the celebrity boxing world ahead of his fight against Kevin Holland on April 10. ‘The Italian Dream’ is potentially just one fight away from a shot at UFC gold but was keen to vent on YouTube star Jake Paul during a recent interview with MMA Fighting. ‘The Italian Dream’ is potentially just one fight away from a shot at UFC gold but was keen to vent on YouTube star Jake Paul during a recent interview with MMA Fighting.
Vettori is frustrated with the amount of coverage “bullshit ass media” are giving the internet celebrity ahead of his fight with former MMA champion, Ben Askren.
“It’s bad, it’s disrespectful,” Vettori said. “The most disrespectful is also this bullsh*t ass media that I’ve seen all over where they give him credit. With media, it’s a give and take, but at the end of the day the silver lining of every media should be informing. It’s lost. It’s lost by far in general. It could be anything. It could news, it could be MMA. It could be anything. It’s kind of sad to see this. They’re just after any kind of clickbait to put on the news, and the content is just sh*t and it’s getting sh*ttier. It’s sad.”
Vettori went on to invite Paul down to California to train with him at Kings MMA
“Just tell him, somebody go get him and I want to make it a surprise,” Vettori said. “I want to show you something. Just bring him to Huntington. Once he steps in that door, we just lock the door. Trust me, we wouldn’t be unfair. It’s not like we would jump him or something but it’s just like you want to experiencing fighting? Good. Get into the cage and I’ll be glad to welcome him.
“I can send some 145’er that would smash him. It’s all right. It’s the world we live in these days. You can’t do much about it. You just stay in your own lane and do your own sh*t. That’s it really.”
If Paul ever steps up his level of competition, Vettori is willing to meet him in the ring for free.
“I’m all about it,” Vettori said. “Like I said, I’ll basically do it for free. I would.”
Do you think Jake Paul will ever face off against someone like Marvin Vettori?

UFC on ABC 2 headliner Marvin Vettori has withstood about all he can bear of the Jake Paul craze.
Like it or not, Jake Paul is one of the most covered names in combat sports. After amassing a strong YouTube following, it was only natural that there would be some attention bestowed upon the 24-year-old as he ventured into the world of boxing as a crossover star of sorts.
The attention he has received from media and fans has exceeded all expectations, though. This has been the case for each of Paul’s fights to this point, but the coverage leading up to his April 17 boxing match against Ben Askren has been next level. It could even be said that the build-up, in some media circles, has been resemblant of a full-on superfight.
Naturally, some people are going to take exception to all the attention Paul is receiving, including purists of the sport and some fighters. Marvin Vettori is among these people, and he believes that fighters like himself are being disrespected by all the attention Paul is receiving that he feels is both unwarranted and unfair.
“It’s bad, it’s disrespectful,” Vettori said about Jake Paul in an interview with MMA Fighting. “The most disrespectful is also this bullsh*t ass media that I’ve seen all over where they give him credit. With media, it’s a give and take, but at the end of the day the silver lining of every media should be informing. It’s lost. It’s lost by far in general. It could be anything. It could (be) news, it could be MMA. It could be anything. It’s kind of sad to see this.
“They’re just after any kind of clickbait to put on the news, and the content is just sh*t and it’s getting sh*ttier. It’s sad.”
Vettori fails to see any reason why Paul should be credited for anything. Some people believe that his business sense and ability to sustain and grow fan interest in his fights is worth commending. For Vettori, he just sees it all as one big slap in the face.
“To see that people are just jumping on some YouTube like that, it’s just sad,” Vettori said. “There’s people out there who have been giving their whole life to this game, and this guy has been f*king around with other little kids until he came a little famous. Then to try to jump into fighting other [YouTubers], whatever it is, not fighters and picking and choosing. Even just making more money, it’s just disrespectful.”
Marvin Vettori Willing To Fight Jake Paul For Free
Marvin Vettori would like to fight Paul himself, but it’s not what you’re thinking. He doesn’t want to get ensnared in all the Jake Paul hoopla, even if it would come with a large payday. No, he wants to sink Paul like the Titanic but without all the print documenting it.
“Just tell him, somebody go get him and I want to make it a surprise,” Vettori began in his perfect scenario.
“I’m all about it,” Vettori said. “Like I said, I’ll basically do it for free. I would.”
In what is no doubt some form of irony, Vettori is contributing to the same media headlines that he detests by addressing Paul in such a coverable manner. There is very little doubt that these flammable comments will be covered by many outlets, thus giving Paul even more attention. Perhaps Vettori is OK with that if his comments work towards what he believes to be the greater good: either minimizing the “disrespectful” coverage of Paul in the long run or enticing the YouTuber to appear in Huntington Beach, California, where a locked gym and tape fists would be awaiting his arrival.
Do you agree with Marvin Vettori’s take on Jake Paul and all the attention he’s receiving?

The last time we saw Kevin Holland (21-6-0) in the octagon, his unofficial moniker, Mouth, was on full display. But in his upcoming short notice fight against Marvin Vettori (16-3-1), Holland plans to introduce us to his alter ego (and actual nickname), Trailblazer.
Kevin Holland is coming off an abysmal performance in his loss to Derek Brunson (22-7-0) at UFC Vegas 22. Holland spent the majority of the fight on his back, mounting virtually no offense through five rounds. He was, however, able to talk to Khabib Nurmagomedov between rounds. A fan favorite known for putting on exciting fights, his performance and behavior left fans, and Dana White, baffled. After the loss, he defended his behavior and even hinted towards a drop down to the welterweight division.
Never one to stay inactive long, Holland is known for taking the call when needed. He was more than happy to step in against Vettori after Daren Till had to pull out of the fight. Still ranked 10th in the division, a win over higher-ranked Vittori (currently 6th) would likely put him right back in the picture for a future title shot. Holland understands this and has committed to showing the UFC and fans alike that he is not taking this opportunity lightly.
Holland will need that energy against Vettori. Coming into this fight on a four-fight win streak, Vittori has made no secret of his desire for a rematch against current middleweight king, Israel Adesanya. Vittori has been on a tear since losing to the middleweight champ, looking to beat anyone put in front of him to get the title shot.
Throughout his UFC tenure, Holland has performed well on short notice. But will the change to his alter ego and focus lead him back to his winning ways? Not sure, but we should expect a great fight from the Trailblazer and the Italian Dream.
