UFC standout turned bare-knuckle brawler ‘Platinum’ Mike Perry scored his fourth straight win inside the squared circle at BKFC 56.
Once again stepping into the main event spotlight, Perry toed the line with former Bellator and UFC lightweight world titleholder Eddie Alvarez to determine the promotion’s first-ever ‘King of Violence’ champion. Through two rounds of action, Perry and Alvarez battered one another with ‘The Underground King’ gaining the upper hand in the early going.
However, it wouldn’t take long for Perry to turn the tables on his opponent, smashing Alvarez in the second stanza. Unfortunately, that’s where things would end as Alvarez was unable to continue after his eye had swelled shut.
Alvarez’s corner threw in the towel just before the beginning of the third round, declaring ‘Platinum’ the first-ever BKFC ‘King of Violence’ champ. With the win, Perry moved to 4-0 under the Bare Knuckle FC banner.

‘Platinum’ Mike Perry and Eddie Alvarez traded body blows during their face-off at a BKFC 56 press event on Thursday.
On December 2, Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship will present its next mega-sized card. Emanating from the Maverik Center in Salt Lake City, bare-knuckle fans will be treated to a can’t-miss headliner as BKFC sensation Mike Perry returns to the squared circle for a clash with former UFC lightweight champion Eddie Alvarez.
Before the two heavy hitters knuckle up next month, Perry and Alvarez went face-to-face for the first time, and needless to say, things got a little chippy between the two.
Mike Perry goes into the contest carrying a 4-0 record under the BKFC banner. That includes victories over Bellator’s Michael ‘Venom’ Page and former UFC middleweight titleholder Luke Rockhold.
Alvarez will be making his second appearance for the promotion after securing a split decision over Chad Mendes at BKFC 41 in April.
Mike Perry and Eddie Alvarez Will Compete to Become the first-ever BKFC ‘King of Violence’ Champion
Whoever leaves The Crossroads of the West with their hand raised, will also leave as the first-ever BKFC ‘King of Violence’ champion.
“I’m happy about it, and I’m happy to be able to do something a little different up here,” BKFC president Dave Feldman said during the press event. “This is a violent sport. We’ve run to it. We say what it is: It’s a brutal sport. It’s not more dangerous than anything else out there, but you have to be a different kind of person to fight bare-knuckle fighting, and these guys are. They’re different, and that’s why they’re fighting for the ‘King of Violence’ championship.”
Feldman added that BKFC’s ‘King of Violence’ title “is probably gonna be a one-and-done thing for us,” but for now, he’s more than happy for the opportunity to pair two masters of violence together in a brawl that is guaranteed to bring the fireworks and plenty of bloodshed.
“We have two violent guys – a Philly guy and a Florida guy – that are gonna collide in the squared circle on Dec. 2 here in Salt Lake City,” Feldman said. “It’s gonna be an epic, epic night.”

BKFC (Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship) boss, David Feldman has claimed promotional poster boy, Mike Perry is nothing short of a “major star” across the combat sports sphere, as he gears up for an end-of-year clash with former UFC lightweight champion, Eddie Alvarez in Utah.
Embarking on a perfect three-fight winning run since landing in the above-mentioned, Feldman-led promotion, Michigan native, Perry most recently turned in an impressive second round win over former UFC and Strikeforce middleweight champion, Luke Rockhold back in April.
The victory came off the back of consecutive decision wins for Mike Perry over both former Bellator MMA welterweight title challenger, Michael Page, and The Ultimate Fighter veteran, Julian Lane – in what has proven to be a hugely successful venture for UFC alum, Perry.
David Feldman heaps praise on BKFC star, Mike Perry
And sharing his thoughts on the recent surge in stardom of Mike Perry, BKFC leader, Feldman claimed that while both the promotion and Perry helped each other rise, the former has cast himself into a new stratosphere as a definitive combat sports star.
“You know, I think – and Mike (Perry) will say it, we helped each other,” David Feldman told LowKick MMA during a recent interview. “As we resurrected him from the UFC and we were able to help him become a – really I think, he’s a major, major star in combat sports now. At the same time, he talks very good about us. He knows what to say [and] when to say it. He’s just a walking, you know, a walking drop, he knows what to drop and when to drop it. And he does good, and talks good about the organization.”
“He’s a great guy, he’s a great family man,” Feldman explained. “So, I think – look, I always say this, whether I’m talking to sponsors, whether I’m talking to tv networks, whether I’m talking to fighters, I say, ‘Listen, we have to establish a great partnership.’ And if we establish a great partnership, then it works for everybody. And if it doesn’t work for everybody, it doesn’t work for anybody.
Also featuring on that previously mentioned April card in Colorado, incoming BKFC 56 headliner, Alvarez debuted in the rising promotion with a close, split decision win over fellow former UFC star, Chad Mendes, following his departure from Singapore organization, ONE Championship.

Former UFC welterweight contender, Mike Perry will headline opposite former Octagon champions for the second time in as many fights this December, as the Michigan favorite takes on former UFC lightweight champion, Eddie Alvarez atop a BKFC 56 (Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship) card on December 2. in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Perry, an alum of the UFC and three-fight veteran of the David Feldman-led BKFC, most recently featured atop a card in Broomfield, Colorado back in April, forcing a second round TKO stoppage win over former undisputed UFC middleweight champion, Luke Rockhold in the event’s headliner.
On that same BKFC 41 card for the promotion, former UFC and Bellator MMA lightweight champion, Alvarez made his debut following the end of his tenure with ONE Championship, defeating former three-time UFC featherweight title challenger, Chad Mendes in a split decision win at the welterweight limit.
Mike Perry draws ex-UFC champion, Eddie Alvarez in December at BKFC 56

Debuting in bare knuckle fighting back in February of last year, Perry took a debut decision win over The Ultimate Fighter alum, Julian Lane, before scoring a high-profile decision success against former Bellator MMA welterweight title challenger, Michael Page in London in August of last year.
Set to make his sophomore BKFC walk, Philadelphia fan-favorite, Alvarez landed the undisputed UFC championship back in July 2016, stopping then-defending gold holder, Rafael dos Anjos with a blistering first round TKO win.

Frenemies ‘Platinum’ Mike Perry and Darren Till ran into one another backstage during Saturday’s Misfits Boxing event in Manchester.
Perry and Till’s unique relationship and sometimes-intnese rivalry dates back to 2017 when Till called out Perry after defeating Donald ‘Cowboy’ Cerrone at a UFC Fight Night event. The call out prompted Perry to charge the Octagon and return fire.
A year later, the pair had an amusing interaction where Mike Perry’s invitation to spar was misunderstood, leading Till to believe that ‘Platinum’ had invited him to spend a day at the spa. Despite the confusion, they engaged in a sparring session behind closes doors with each man having a different take on what exactly went down that day.
Bumping into each other at the AO Arena over the weekend, Perry and Till were quick to face-off and seemingly accepted one another’s challenge for a long-awaited scrap.
Mike Perry Runs Into ‘Nemesis’ Darren Till
“It’s my nemesis,” Till said during their playfull intense face-off. “I’m bigger now, lad.”
Once a legitimate welterweight title contender, Darren Till made the move to middleweight after suffering back-to-back losses against Tyron Woodley and Jorge Masvidal. Till scored a split decision win over Kelvin Gastelum at UFC 244, but then dropped his next three, prompting him to part ways with the UFC earlier this year.
Mike Perry, who recently re-signed with Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship after a tumultous five years under the UFC banner, was in Manchester over the weekend as the official backup for the co-main event clash between Logan Paul and Dillon Danis. In retrospect, fight fans probably would have preferred to see the BKFC star step into the ring rather than Danis, but with Till’s presence at the event, perhaps the two will finally set up a showdown that has been many years in the making.
