Perry Meets Gall On June 27
UFC welterweight Mike Perry appears to have suffered from some injuries ahead of his upcoming fight.
Perry meets Mickey Gall in the co-main event of UFC Vegas 4 on June 27. And with just over a week to go for the fight, “Platinum” took to social media on Thursday to share a video of himself bearing a number of cuts on his forehead and left hand.
As of now, there is no update as to how those injuries occurred. But according to Perry, it won’t be jeopardizing the fight with Gall.
“Fight is still on next week ! #JustBleed,” he wrote as the caption on Instagram.
Perry will be looking to return to the win column against Gall. The 28-year-old is currently on a two-fight losing skid and is also coming off his first TKO defeat in mixed martial arts.

Popular welterweight Mike Perry is happy to be fighting Mickey Gall next after a run of tough opponents that has seen him lose three of his past four fights.
Last week Brett Okamoto of ESPN revealed Perry will take on Gall at an event scheduled for June 27. ‘Platinum’ has now confirmed that it will be his next fight on social media. Perry also revealed he is happy to have what he views as an easier fight after years of facing the best at 170lbs.
“All of my opponent have been top tier for the past 3 years, Perry said. “The best welterweights out there. So I’ve struggled a bit. To have a weak ass opponent like Mickey Gall for a real paycheck is a dream come true. Lol thanks UFC.”
“My girlfriend, just her,” Perry said. “If not, her and her friend.
“… I’m not listening to any coaches right now. Coaches who are saying things that they ain’t gonna go in there and do. They want it to be this way or this way, and like it’s a totally different way. I need a guy like me to hold mitts; I want to hold mitts for myself to be honest with you. I can show people a couple of techniques or whatever, and I’m just ready to fight for my life. … Ain’t nobody gonna take this from me.”
“All I need the corner for is to pass me the bottle of water,” Perry said. “Wipe my head off or put the ice on my neck when I get hot coming in between the rounds. It’s probably not gonna go more than five minutes, and if it does, all I need is a bottle of water. I need to sip a drink, put some ice on my neck, and I don’t need no advice.”

UFC welterweight Mike Perry is switching things up drastically for his next fight.
Currently enduring a rough stretch of three defeats in his last four outings as well as five in his last seven overall — the latest of which was a career-first TKO defeat against Geoff Neal in December — Perry doesn’t see any need or use for having proper coaches in his corner.
So who will be in his corner for his next fight? Just his girlfriend. And possibly her friend as well.
“My girlfriend, just her,” Perry told MMA Junkie. “If not, her and her friend.
“… I’m not listening to any coaches right now. Coaches who are saying things that they ain’t gonna go in there and do. They want it to be this way or this way, and like it’s a totally different way. Perry Sees No Need For Corner
It wouldn’t be the first time a fighter has had just one person in their corner.
Look at how well that went for Diego Sanchez who just had Joshua Fabia by his side in recent fights. But the only use “Platinum” has for a corner at this point is to give him a bottle of water.
“All I need the corner for is to pass me the bottle of water,” Perry said. “Wipe my head off or put the ice on my neck when I get hot coming in between the rounds. It’s probably not gonna go more than five minutes, and if it does, all I need is a bottle of water. I need to sip a drink, put some ice on my neck, and I don’t need no advice.
“I feel like I never really gotten advice. I feel like people just sound like Charlie Brown’s teacher in the corner. … They don’t even know what the (expletive) to say because they wouldn’t go in there and do what the (expletive) they’re talking about. I don’t really know how the coaching (expletive) works. It doesn’t really matter.”
As for when he’s targeting a return?
“June, July – I’m ready,” Perry added. “Tomorrow, tonight, yesterday, the next day. It don’t matter, bro. Any one of these mother (expletive’s) can get it at any time. Let’s go.”

Fan favourite Mike Perry has gone after middleweight contender Darren Till in a foul-mouthed rant. ‘Platinum’ is clearly unhappy with some comments the former title challenger has made about his girlfriend.
Till took to social media earlier this week to crudely call out his long-time frenemy Perry. In a foul-mouthed tweet of his own the Scouser suggested the pair settle their differences on ‘Fight Island’ before taking some uncalled for shot at his girlfriend, he wrote.
“Why don’t me & this fat c-nt just fight on fight island to settle our differences? He’s only a fat mess & when I smash his jaw clean off I’m gonna raw dog his bird, Fuchken MuPPet!!”
Speaking to MMA Junkie, Perry reacted angrily to the comments made by Till and seemed to become unhinged when talking about a potential fight between the two, he said.
“I wanna (expletive) Darren Till’s mom, too – (expletive) Darren Till. I want to fight Darren Till. I want to fight him, then I want to jump out the cage like Khabib (Nurmagomedov) did and jump kick his mom in the face. (Expletive) Darren Till.
“He’s a (expletive) piece of (expletive). He’s a (expletive). There’s nothing wrong with being a (expletive) unless you just like sucking (expletive). That’s cool. He likes to suck (expletive). That’s why he wanted to go to the spa. (Expletive) him. Excuse my language if that’s terrible, but I hate that mother(expletive’s) guts. I don’t like when people say certain things.”
Perry went on the recount his infamous sparring session with Till. The welterweight knockout artist claiming he got the better of the Englishman and would be willing to do the same again in a middleweight match-up later this summer, he said.
“I busted his eye open when we sparred that one time. He has some heavy hips, I’ll tell him that. Because he’s a fat piece of (expletive) so his hips were heavy. His feet were glued to the (expletive) floor, but I busted his eye up, and I (expletive) him about 20 times with combinations, little pity pats to the face. He was easy to hit, it’s like he was a statute sitting still, and I was dancing around him then he tried to shoot on me, and I kneed him in the (expletive) eye, and he was bleeding in that little picture we took. You ask him about sparring with Mike Perry.”
“It doesn’t line up as well, because I’m 185 pounds right now,” Perry said. “If he wants to cut weight to 185, I’ll fight his ass at 185. I’ll try to put a couple pounds on, and I’ll be faster than him, and he’ll be a fat piece of (expletive). (Expletive) him.”
“June, July – I’m ready,” Perry said. “Tomorrow, tonight, yesterday, the next day. It don’t matter, bro.”
