Arnold Allen was looking forward to competing for the third time inside the Octagon next week at UFC 204 opposite Mirsad Bektic.

The two were the planned main card opener from the Manchester Arena in England on pay-per-view, but Allen has suffered an injury and will not be able to compete.

Allen (11-1) has scored wins in both of his UFC appearances, besting Alam Omer and Yaotzin Meza. Bektic (10-0) owns a 3-0 Octagon mark after his wins vs. Chas Skelly, Paul Redmond and Lucas Martins.

Officials are working on finding a short-notice replacement to keep Bektic on the card.

UFC 204 features Michael Bisping defending his middleweight title against Dan Henderson, along with fellow 185-pound fighters Gegard Mousasi and Vitor Belfort squaring off.

Two UFC unbeaten featherweights will square off this October in a key meeting of top prospects, as Arnold Allen battles Mirsad Bektic.

Bektic (10-0) is a perfect 3-0 with the UFC, scoring wins over Chas Skelly, Paul Redmond and Lucas Martins. He will be returning from a 16-month layoff to face Allen (11-1).

The Brit has picked up wins in both of his Octagon appearances, as the 22-year-old bested Alan Omer and Yaotzin Meza.

UFC 204 takes place October 8 from Manchester Arena in Manchester, England. Dan Henderson challenges Michael Bisping for the middleweight title in the main event. The rest of the card includes Vitor Belfort-Gegard Mousasi, Jimi Manuwa-Ovince Saint Preux and Stefan Struve-Ruslan Magomedov.
